“I’ve been quiet over here but…” - Gisele Bündchen speaks about her social media hiatus and shares first pictures of newborn son

Gisele Bündchen shared a truly memorable piece of her life with the world on Mother’s Day, when she revealed a picture of her newborn baby on Instagram. While she confirmed that the baby is a healthy baby boy, she has yet to confirm a name for her child, whom she welcomed in February with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

In the post’s caption, the Brazilian supermodel also shed a little light on her absence from social media in recent months:

"I’ve been quiet over here but very busy living life ... Sometimes, the most beautiful moments aren’t shared — they’re simply lived.”

Later in the caption on her Instagram post, Gisele also acknowledged her openness to adjust to a new pace of life:

"Lately, I’ve been embracing the slower rhythms, the real connections, the beauty in the lessons that come with being present."

Bündchen’s family life seems to be thriving, and she does not seem to want to complicate things with overexposure. The news of the baby’s arrival initially broke on February 5 via TMZ, and a source told People Magazine that the couple had been planning a home birth. No further details are currently known.

The new addition to Bündchen's budding family will join her 14-year-old son Benjamin and Vivian, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband retired NFL great Tom Brady.

In the same post, Gisele also made sure to pay tribute to her late mother Vânia Nonnenmacher in a truly touching way:

"Today, on Mother’s Day, I specifically miss my mom, but my heart is full. Being a mother it’s been my greatest gift, a journey that humbles me, teaches me, and fills me with gratitude every single day. To all the mothers out there, your love shapes the world in ways words can’t describe. I see you, I honor you. Happy mother’s day! Sending so much love your way!"

Nonnenmacher passed in January 2024. She was 75 years old.

Meanwhile, Bündchen and Valente’s relationship is going strong after the pair officially linked up in the summer of 2023. An inside source told US Weekly, as reported in October last year:

It seems that the couple is in a great place to receive the baby, which bodes well for the entire family as their unit grows by one.
