Kelley Wolf, The Real World alum, has made shocking allegations regarding her treatment by law enforcement and the judicial system, over a month after declaring her split from actor Scott Wolf. She revealed this on her Instagram story on 13 July 2025.

Speaking about the incident, she said:

“I was held for 7 days and they tried to keep me for 90. I will not be quiet anymore. I cannot be quiet anymore.”

Kelley Wolf, who is now 48 years, uploaded an upbeat post of flower shops, hiking trails, and even a narrative from a woman she had assisted with a flat tire on her Instagram stories. However, her posts' tone drastically changed the next day.

On Sunday, Kelly shared through her Instagram stories in which she revealed her terrifying experiences in police custody, accused officials of violence, and begged for assistance in recovering custody of her children.

She claimed to have been detained against her will for a week, shared a picture of bruises on her inner arm, and said:

“I was held for 7 days and they tried to keep me for 90. I will not be quiet anymore. I cannot be quiet anymore.”

She went on to ask for help as she mentioned the alleged police brutality:

“This is from the police. I will get myself safe but I’m asking for help. Thrown down stairs. Broke my wrist, Contusions on my head. I’m bruised everywhere and I literally was released last night. This is the SECOND time.”

Kelley Wolf claims that the incident happened on July 6 in Sundance, Utah, when she was taken against her will from a hot tub by police and placed under involuntary psychiatric detention before being taken to Summit County Behavioral Health:

“Summit county police took me from Sundance on July 6. I was in a hot tub. Placed me on an involuntary hold at Summit county Behavioral health. The truth must be told.”

Kelley Wolf pleads for her children

Kelley Wolf continued sharing her version of events through her second Instagram story, declaring that she is not "crazy" and wants them back:

“I love my kids. I’m not crazy. “I need help. And I want my kids back. That’s all for now.”

Scott and Kelley Wolf share three children, the eldest being Jackson, who is 16, followed by Miller, who is 12, and then Lucy, who is 11. A temporary restraining order against Kelley and temporary physical and legal custody of the children have been given to Scott since he filed for divorce in June.

According to the court documents obtained by People, Judge Richard Mrazik claims that Kelley Wolf had

“engaged in an escalating pattern of behavior that poses a substantial threat of immediate and irreparable harm to the parties’ minor children.”

The court stated that Kelley's actions were "sufficient" to warrant her detention and mental health assessment. According to court orders, she is not allowed to be at the family home or post anything about her divorce, kids, or husband, Scott.

Kelley Wolf has now openly disregarded the court's orders prohibiting her from speaking out about the case on her social media handle.

Kelley Wolf announced her divorce from Scott on 10 June this year after 21 years on her Instagram. She wrote:

“It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage.”

She went on to write:

“This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children. While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I’ve done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion.”

She even claimed Scott to be:

“One of the best fathers [she’s] ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with.”

It escalated when Kelley was placed under an involuntary hold and also accused her ex-husband, Scott, of "abusing" her. The very same day that she was detained, Scott went on to post a photo of the kids going on a vacation. He captioned:

“With my forever squad.”

Kelley's defiance

Kelley Wolf wrote:

“I am kind. I am a mother. I am a fighter. And I’ll never back down.”

She even referenced a tagline from “The Real World,” she wrote:

“I will stop being polite…And start getting REAL if I have to. Because this is AMERICA.”

On the same day that Kelley uploaded her detention story, she added additional stories, this time featuring a mirror selfie taken in a hotel room. She assured her safety by writing:

“Just so you all know….I’m safe. Sad. Bruised. Strong and still alive…thank god. And still in my home town of Park City, Utah…with great friends and great humans and good everything! Come visit me! I have a suite in a hotel and I am safe. I’m just confused…and hurt.”

Kelley Wolf then went on to post a video on her story where she showed she was dining all alone with two glasses of wine poured in a small hotel. She said:

“I don’t want worry or even sympathy…I will use what voice I have left to speak out against this, what I believe is illegal and without question…cruel and WRONG."

Kelley added:

“I have a very good life. I’m a successful woman. I have a very generous family. I have great friends. I have a friend here for dinner. Okay? And definitely what’s going on is not okay, it’s not okay anywhere, especially not in this country.”

She then pulled out her hand from the sleeve to show the bruises once again and said:

“I’m angry, and I’m hurt, and I’m scared, and I’m going to use my rights as an American, to use Instagram, the free press, whatever it takes, for these kinds of things to not happen.”

The next evening, Kelley Wolf posted another photo to her Instagram story of a dinner table and wrote:

“I am a very blessed and privileged person in this world and I would rather we focus on real issues we are facing as a world.”

She continued:

“So if this makes you angry, then speak up. Call out injustice, brutality, subjugation and speak up for this kind of insanity!!! I am just as confused as all of you…trust me. Last I checked this was a FREE country when we had rights as women and humans. So yeah….let’s get loud!!!!”S
