Sean William Scott, who played Crash in the Ice Age franchise, is opening up about his character's fate in Ice Age: Boiling Point, and unfortunately, it's a tragic one. Scott has revealed that Crash's character might die in the new film, the reason being the franchise not needing two opossums.
Speaking to The Direct, the actor talked about if Crash will be a part of the franchise's sixth movie, to which he responded,
"I don't think so. This is the first I've heard of it. I'm feeling like, if I haven't heard anything at this point, they're probably going to kill Crash off... Which, by the way, this movie doesn't need two little opossums, and they don't need to pay us for it... Yeah, I haven't heard about [Ice Age: Boiling Point]."
In the films, Crash is the twin brother of Eddie, who are both opossums and are the adopted brothers of Ellie. They all grow up together and Ellie, despite being a mammoth sees herself as an opossum. Crash and Eddie are funny, mischievous and less mature than Ellie is, often pranking and teasing the other creatures.
It's not confirmed if the character's fate will actually be his death or if Scott is just keeping things private by not talking about if Crash will be in the sixth film. Either way, his involvement in Ice Age: Boiling Point is confirmed, which means we will be getting more mischief from the set of twin opossums!
