As per a recent article by The Mirror, singer Ariana Grande shocked fans by making a rare comment on her ex Mac Miller.

Mac and Ariana dated from 2016 to 2018, ending their relationship four months before the rapper passed away in September. Miller reportedly died due to a drug overdose and struggled with substance abuse.

Ariana Grande claims that she was inspired to create "R+B influenced pop music" by her partner, which helped her achieve great popularity. In a TikTok video, Ariana addressed Chapman University students, saying:

"I'm really thankful for that."

The Wicked actress said that she is very thankful for the impact that Mac Miller had on her career. The 32-year-old celebrity thanked Mac for helping her discover her sound and for altering the direction of her music.

Ariana Grande disclosed that the Best Day Ever rapper's counsel was the reason she chose to include him on her song The Way:

"That's also part of the reason I was so excited to ask him to be a part of it," she continued. In addition to the fact that he was ideal for the song, I also felt that he was responsible for discovering my voice."

Ariana began seeing then-SNL comedian Pete Davidson after her breakup with Mac Miller, and they were together when she learned the devastating news about her former partner. Ariana last discussed Mac in public in 2020, she said to Apple Music:

"I think that nothing mattered more to him than music ever and he was the type of person who woke up and rolled into the studio, tumbled out of bed, into the studio next door."

There was nothing more crucial. Talk about forgetting to eat and losing track of time, and remind yourself to be a person and take care of yourself.

About Ariana Grande and Mac Miller's Relationship

According to an article by E! News, Ariana Grande and Mac Miller's relationship had turned toxic. Friends of the late rapper claim that she had attempted to support him in his continuous struggle with substance abuse, a struggle that addicts continue to fight even after decades of sobriety, but they were eventually unable to make it work.

Grande didn't want to see him on that awful path. However, she believed she would have much more time to resolve the issue.

"Love without conditions is not self-serving. In her first public statement about their split, Grande said in May, "It is wanting the best for that person even if it's not you right now." "I can't wait to know and support you forever and I'm so proud of you!!"

Rather, Miller passed away on September 7 at the age of 26. Authorities first thought it was an apparent overdose, but the official cause of death has not been disclosed until toxicology test results are known.

Ariana Grande was devastated as she mourned her boyfriend's loss. In a spring 2017 interview with Cosmopolitan, Grande said:

"I met him when I was 19."

She added:

"Since the beginning, even before we met, we had loved, respected, and admired one another simply because we were admirers of one other's abilities. However, we weren't at all prepared to be together. It's merely timing. The love has been there the entire time, but we both needed to go through some experiences."

Frankie Grande, Ariana's brother, who celebrated a year of sobriety in June, responded publicly to Miller's passing by posting on social media that he was motivated to get assistance by his sister's ex-boyfriend.
