According to People magazine, this proposal by Bella Thorne comes two years after Mark Emms proposed to the "My Own Worst Enemy" actress back in May 2023. In her post, shared on Sunday, Thorne wrote:

"3 years ago we met, 1 year later he proposed, Now 1 year later so did I 🥴❤️."

Bella Thorne was previously in a relationship with Benjamin Mascolo, whom she dated from 2019 until their breakup in 2022.

Benjamin Mascolo was born on June 20, 1993, in Modena, Italy. He later began his career around 2010 and went on to form the Italian pop duo Benji & Fede with Federico Rossi. According to Icon, Benjamin Mascolo now uses the stage name B3N, which he adopted after splitting from Federico Rossi. In his interview with the outlet, Mascolo spoke about how daunting it was to start his solo career as a musician. He said:

"I'm happy, truly. I'm leaving behind a significant journey, one of which I'm extremely proud because, for better or worse, it has shaped me into the man and artist I am today. Benjamin Mascolo began a relationship with Bella Thorne after meeting her at Coachella in 2019. In his interview with Icon, he revealed the moment he first met the "Famous in Love" actress. He said:

"our journey together began almost two years ago in Palm Springs. We met at Coachella, and I immediately realized she was different from all the other women I'd met in my life. With Bella, blending personal and professional life became easy; we're fully connected: she was the one who asked me to participate in the music video for "Finché le stelle non brillano," which made me immensely happy, having been the song's muse."

Two years after dating, the couple announced their engagement in March 2021. According to Life & Style, to celebrate the occasion, Mascolo shared the news in a now-deleted Instagram post. He wrote:
