During an appeareance on Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey on July 15, Brandi alongside mom, Tish Cyrus opened up about her future family plans, noting that kids are not in it.

When host Jowsey, talked about his desire to find love and eventually become a father, Brandi revealed the reason why she doesn't want to have kids.

Jowsey revealed that at one point in his life, he wanted to act like he was "someone's husband" and got rid of his Lamborghini. He instead got a family car with screens in the back, in case his godson wants to accompany him for a road trip. When Tish chimed in that people would think it was his own kid, Brandi said,

"I was into dating someone with kids. Yeah. I don't want my own kids."

When Jowsey asked her the reason why, Brandi continued,

"Oh, I don't really like kids."

Elsewhere in the podcast, Brandi discussed her mom's recent marriage to Dominic Purcell. Brandi mentioned that she told her mom that she was "rushing marriage a little bit" and it scared her, considering that Tish had been divorced once before from her stepfather, Billy Ray Cyrus.
