Harrison Bader, the Philadelphia Phillies center fielder who is not married, recently met with a fan after a ball snatching incident that went viral during a game against the Miami Marlins. Fans ran after the ball, which was a home run by Bader into the stands. Drew Feltwell, a Phillies fan, was able to get it and gave it to his son, Lincoln. Which was later handed to a woman who was yelling at Feltwell.

The ball, which was sent into the left field seats in the fourth inning, was retrieved by Feltwell, who gave it to his son, Lincoln. What seemed to be a touching father-son exchange became heated real quick when another Phillies fan came up and demanded the ball. Feltwell handed over the ball to her after she shouted at him. To avoid all of this, Feltwell gave the ball away.

Feltwell told NBC10 that he merely handed the ball away to defuse the tension in front of his kid, saying:

“I felt like super dad putting that ball in his glove and giving him a hug.”

The Phillies organization stepped in to make sure Lincoln's night ended well after the game. The outfielder gave Lincoln an autographed bat and posed for pictures with the family after staff encouraged them to visit him outside the clubhouse. Lincoln received a goodie bag as a contribution from the Marlins team.

Fans praised Bader's gesture, and Feltwell called the center fielder "a class act."

He added:

“I wish I had the ball for my son to put in his room next to the bat, but if I had the ball, I probably wouldn’t have gotten the bat, so it worked out fine.”
