Comedian Louis C.K. was recently seen with costume designer Mimi O’Donnell. According to an exclusive report by The Daily Mail published on November 24, Louis and Mimi were spotted taking a stroll in New York City. The two were also photographed sharing a kiss.

For the uninitiated, Mimi was in a relationship with actor Philip Seymour Hoffman for almost 14 years, from 1999 until he died in 2014.

Louis was even seen wrapping his arms around Mimi. Louis C.K. wore a hoodie, jeans, and a peacoat. Mimi wore boots, jeans, and a long-sleeved jacket. In 2018, she wrote her feelings in a Vogue piece, reflecting on her relationship with Hoffman. She wrote:

“It’s been almost four years since Phil died, and the kids and I are still in a place where that fact is there every day. We talk about him constantly, only now we can talk about him without instantly crying. We talk about his bad sides and his good sides, what he did that was funny and what he did that was crazy, and what he did that was loving and tender and sweet. We open up, and it brings us together and keeps his spirit alive.”

Although Louis C.K. is not married at the time, he was previously hitched to Alix Bailey for almost 13 years. The former couple, who share two daughters, parted ways in 2008. According to the news outlet, he came under fire in 2017 after #MeToo allegations were raised against him. Although he apologized, he was sacked from projects and roles.

Louis C.K. talks about writing

Earlier this month, Louis C.K. published his new book Ingram. During a conversation with Tom Segura, Louis was asked if he had always wanted to write. He replied that writing was his childhood passion. He said:

“Like it was like being a athlete or something. Like I wanted to be a novelist.”

Mentioning his reading interests, he told Tom Segura:

“I got into Russian literature when I was a kid, like kind of young, you know, and I would open the windows in the winter of my bedroom. I just loved being able to write how horrible things could be and it and somehow it was sweet to read that it was awful.”

Louis C.K. said that he used to find writing very hard because he always felt like he wasn’t doing enough. When he tried to write for TV or movies, he struggled to stay focused because he easily got distracted and kept wanting to do other things instead of sitting down to work. All of this made it difficult for him to enjoy writing. He mentioned:

“I would write to make TV or movies like write something just so you can produce it. Writing wasn't that fun. And then I got into fiction like writing short stories again. And also I had a big getting rid of a lot of distraction and kind of calming my spirit down which actually worked.”

When Segura asked how many hours he devoted to writing Ingram, Louis C.K. said there was no such fixed time. He had certain tricks to help him get into the writing process when he didn’t feel like doing so.
