Nicole Eggert, known for starring on Baywatch, never tied the knot with anyone, according to 9Honey. Her most high-profile relationship had been with Corey Haim, a fellow child actor whose life and career were plagued by addiction. Nicole Eggert and Haim co-starred in films such as Blown Away and became engaged during a two-year romance. Looking back, Eggert admitted to People that the relationship was difficult, with Haim’s dependency issues often leading them to the hospital late at night.
Haim’s death in 2010 at just 38, from complications tied to his lungs and heart, brought an end to a troubled but memorable Hollywood story. Eggert went on to raise two daughters. Her first, Dilyn, was born in 1998 with actor Justin Herwick. Years later, she welcomed Keegan, though she never named her younger daughter’s father. Recently, Eggert has opened up about a new challenge, her fight against breast cancer, revealing she underwent a mastectomy as part of her treatment.
Nicole Eggert spoke on surgery and recovery amid her battle with cancer:

Nicole Eggert shared a health update amid her ongoing breast cancer battle. The Baywatch star revealed in an Instagram post that she underwent a mastectomy with reconstruction last week.
“Had a mastectomy with reconstruction on Thursday. How was ur weekend?” she wrote
Nicole Eggert had also reposted a video about recovery and grief, pairing it with a quote often attributed to Martha Washington:
“The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.”
Nicole Eggert had been candid about her diagnosis from the start. She told People in January 2024 that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer the previous December.
“This journey’s been rough for me, I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.” she shared.
She explained that she first detected the cancer herself during a self-exam.
“I can definitely feel it. It’s there. It needs to be taken out,” she said, noting she was waiting for doctors to determine whether treatment would be needed before surgery. The mother of two stressed she remained committed to fighting.
“There’s just no succumbing to this. This is something I have to get through. This is something that I have to beat.” she shared.
In a later interview with People, Eggert shared that she had finished treatment and was feeling “good” but was waiting for surgery. Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of her docuseries After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, she admitted the waiting process was difficult.
“I am in sort of a gray area and I finished my treatment, waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery, there’s a lot of waiting in this and it’s sort of something I didn’t really realize and nobody really talks about. The gray area is the hardest because you don’t know what’s happening.” she explained.
Nicole Eggert added that being in treatment gave her a sense of purpose.
“When I’m doing treatment, I felt like I was doing something productive. So it felt positive and I was like, okay, I’m doing something positive. And now that it’s just nothing, it’s like, well, wait a minute. We got to get this out.” she shared.
Nicole Eggert reflected on body insecurities and regretted her 18-year-old decision to get implants:

Nicole Eggert said she hadn’t anticipated the realities of Baywatch when she agreed to join the cast. Speaking with People, she remembered being shocked on her very first day.
“Oh my God, we’re going to be in a bathing suit all day every day?” she shared.
The actress admitted she felt self-conscious compared with the rest of the cast.
“All the girls worked out and were super tiny and fit, and I was like, ‘Whoops.’ And the one-piece bathing suits were not flattering. I didn’t want to wear it at all, It just wasn’t what I signed up for. It was a totally different show and ballgame, and not where I wanted to be.” she explained.
During a production break, and at only 18 years old, Eggert decided to get breast implants, a choice she later described with regret.
“I regret it now, of course, I look at all these younger girls doing it and think, ‘God, leave your bodies alone!’” she shared.
She admitted that insecurities about her body had fueled the decision.
“When you have to put on that one-piece, and it’s like you’re so flat that it’s like pleating, you got pleats across the front … you’re like, ‘What is this?’ Nothing you can do. You can’t stuff it with anything. You can’t do anything.” she shared.
Years later, Eggert reflected on that moment as a mistake.
“It was a stupid 18-year-old decision,” she shared.
