Is Nikki Glaser returning as Golden Globes host? Producers hint at a possible third hosting gig

Nikki Glaser's hosting run may not be over yet, as producers described her as a near-perfect fit for the Globes in post-show remarks.

In a conversation with Variety, just as the Golden Globes 2026 were wrapping up, Producer Glenn Weiss had nothing but praise for the host and comedienne.

"Nikki is such a great talent, and I think she really, truly found her place here. I think she's a perfect host for us."

He went on:

"And I will say this, that she is one of the hardest-working people I've met in this industry. She really cares about what she's doing. She goes out, she practices sets, things changed right up 'til when we went on the air from our first rehearsal to the last. And I've got to give her major props for not just how funny she is, but how hard she works and what a great person she is for this role."

When asked if Nikki Glaser would return to the Globes for the third time, Glenn Weiss honestly answered:

"We all have been focused on this year. No conversation about it. But if you ask me, what's in my heart, I certainly hope so."

On Monday, Jan. 12, the actress-comedian kicked off the Golden Globes 2026 with jabs at the Epstein Files, CBS News, and more. She started her monologue with:

"We'll start the bidding for Warner Bros at five dollars. Do I hear five dollars? I cannot believe the amount of star power we have in this room tonight. There are so many A-listers, and by A-listers, I mean people who are on a list that has been heavily redacted. And the Golden Globe for Best Editing goes to...the Justice Department. And the award for most editing goes to CBS News. Yes. CBS News: America's newest place to see B.S. News."

Nikki Glaser also poked fun at Leonardo DiCaprio's romantic life, saying:

"You've worked with every great director. You've won three Golden Globes and an Oscar, and the most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30. Leo, I'm sorry I made that joke; it's cheap. You know what, I tried not to, but like, we don't know anything else about you, man. Like, there's nothing else, like open up!"

The comedian didn't forget to roast the tables at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, giving the shows a collective moniker.

"To my right are the tables for 'Hamnet,' 'All Her Fault,' and 'Bugonia,' an area we're calling 'traumatized woman alley.' We'll never find out where 'traumatized men alley' is because they're not allowed to tell us."

Nikki Glaser's monologue concluded when Fran Drescher stepped onstage to cut the host off, telling the former in her familiar nasal rasp:
