Days after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in the abandoned Tesla owned by singer D4vd, photos of the two are going viral.
The New York native's car was found abandoned in an impound lot just days ago, with the dismembered and decomposing body of the young girl in the front trunk. Authorities quickly identified its owner, though he has not been listed as a suspect as of yet. A cause of death also remains unclear.
In the days since, however, X has been riddled with conspiracy theories and fabricated information and photos, including one of the singer standing with his arm over Rivas. The photo in question was generated using Google Gemini's latest AI feature, Nano Banana.
Everything we know about the ongoing investigations involving Celeste Rivas and her alleged connections to singer D4vd:
The New York Post recently reported that authorities raided D4vd's Los Angeles home on Wednesday night. The 20-year-old was living in a Hollywood Hills mansion, located near where the abandoned car was found.
As for the conspiracy sleuths online, they are alleging that the singer had a romantic relationship with Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Dozens of screenshots of messages shared on chatrooms from 2023 are surfacing, and there are claims swirling that his Hello Kitty Shirt song was about her, as she allegedly had a craze for the character.
D4vd, who boasts over 2 million followers on Instagram, also made a track that year that mentions Celeste's name twice.
“Oh, Celeste, the girl with my name tattooed on her chest, smell her on my clothes like cigarettes,” he sings in the track, per the New York Post.
As of this writing, all connections between the two are purely speculative. The Los Angeles Police Department has since issued a statement confirming that they have not identified D4vd, legally known as David Anthony Burke, as a suspect:
"At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death. Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time."
D4vd also canceled his forthcoming world tour in a bid to cooperate with the police as investigations continue. He was due for a performance in Showbox SoDo in Seattle shortly before Celeste Rivas' body was uncovered. At the time, he had not been in Los Angeles for a month.
He has yet to issue a statement addressing the situation.
