Australian actress Rose Byrne is making headlines after creating Oscar buzz for her performance in the newly released movie, If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, directed by Mary Bronstein. Distributed by A24, Bronstein's brand-new black comedy-drama film made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2025. Later, it received a limited release in the United States on October 10, 2025.

The 46-year-old was catapulted to stardom after starring in movies such as Troy, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, and Bridesmaids. Byrne, who won the Silver Bear in the category of Best Leading Performance at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival for her role in If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You, has had a highly successful career in Hollywood, starring in multiple hit movies and TV shows. While she was applauded and praised by film critics for her performance in Bronstein's psychological black comedy-drama film, Rose Byrne, in an interview with USA Today, said:

"It's so flattering. I feel very emotional about it."

She added:

"I’ve been doing this a long time, so I feel grateful to have had such an incredible opportunity with this character."

Amid Oscar buzz for her critically acclaimed performance in If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, Rose Byrne's fans want to know if she is married. As per reports, Byrne is not married, but she has been in a serious, long-term relationship with renowned American actor Bobby Cannavale since 2012.

Despite not officially tying the knot, Byrne and Cannavale acknowledge one another as husband and wife. They also share two sons, Rocco and Rafa. The 55-year-old Cannavale, who was previously married to actress Jenny Lumet, with whom he shares another son, Jake, is widely known for starring in films such as Martin Scorsese's The Irishman, Tom McCarthy's The Station Agent, and Tony Goldwyn's Ezra, among many others.

The Insidious star, Rose Byrne, is the recipient of several prestigious accolades and was also nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Critics' Choice Award. During her interview with USA Today, Byrne opened up about her new movie and said Bronstein pushed the movie’s humor ā€œto lengths that I've never played before."

Byrne went ahead and added:

"It’s obviously very dark and very dramatic, this film. And there's elements of horror and Lynchian elements. It defies genre in many ways, which is really exciting, but this is definitely a tightrope."
