Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey seemed to have caused quite a stir online. The two actors star in Jurassic World: Rebirth and were present at the film's London premiere.
As seen in the videos circulating online, Johansson reaches the red carpet excited, where Bailey greets her, and the two share a kiss. However, it is not a romantic kiss but more like a friendly one with a slight peck on the lips.
For the unversed, Scarlett Johansson is married to comedian and writer Colin Jost. They dated for almost two years before getting engaged in 2019. The couple tied the knot in 2020, and their son was born in 2021.
In 2024, Johansson spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Transformers One. When asked about her co-star Jonathan Bailey, she said:
“I adore absolutely every single thing about that man.”
Speaking to the outlet at the Jurassic World: Rebirth premiere, she said:
“I am really a Jurassic Park nerd. Oh my gosh, so many pinch me moments on this movie. I remember the first scene that we shot. Of course, they threw us like right into the most complicated set.”
Scarlett Johansson went on:
“These are no spoiler alerts but we end up you know this our huge research vessel ends up kind of crash landing on the island.”
Scarlett Johansson said the shooting took place on a remote island in Thailand. Getting there involved a series of boat rides and was made even more challenging by a mudslide and a six-hour monsoon.
Despite all the chaos, when she finally arrived on set and walked down to a quiet beach, it felt like a magical moment, as if the iconic John Williams music was playing in her head.
What did Scarlett Johansson say about working in Jurassic World: Rebirth and directing her husband?
Scarlett Johansson said there were moments from the shoot that felt surreal. She looked around at the other cast members in their tactical outfits and felt emotional, realizing the experience was real.
She had several moments like that on set where it all felt overwhelming in a good way. The actress said:
“My family came to the set. It was great because we actually had the opportunity to bring. A lot of the other actors have kids and you know partners that were spent a lot of time in Thailand and Malta and even here in the UK.”
She added:
“So yeah, we made a fun family vacation out of it and it was you know it's great. We make our whole little kind of community with the with the cast members.”
When asked what felt more intimidating, directing a Jurassic movie or directing her husband, Johansson said she had never directed her husband before and wasn’t sure if she ever would.
She explained that taking on a film of that scale was incredibly demanding, especially since the director has to juggle many responsibilities and be ready with answers for everything. That, she felt, would be the bigger challenge.
