The couple welcomed their first and only child, a son, in 2021. In a 2023 exclusive interview with People Magazine, the "Dance Inside" singer shared that, for the first time, both his son and wife were accompanying him on tour. He said:

"This is a giant big top circus. And to be the ringmaster of it myself is a very, very daunting experience, so that my son's gonna be along for the ride this time, honestly, I think I'm just really so excited to show him that his Dad's kind of P.T. Barnum. This is going to be a full on Osmonds experience."

Tyson Ritter also revealed which of his songs was loved by his then two and a half year old son. He said:

It’s really weird when you're showing somebody your own music, and especially if it's your son, because you don't know if he's gonna dig it if he's just 2. He likes ‘Swing Swing’ — he’ll request it — which is a really flattering experience to have your son request one of your songs.”

In 2023, Tyson Ritter appeared on the Tuna on Toast podcast hosted by Stryker, where he shared an incident involving singer Machine Gun Kelly. Ritter said that the singer "went ballistic" when he merely suggested a certain change in the scene involving Fox for their upcoming movie "Johnny and Clyde," in which Megan Fox played the character of Alana Hart. Ritter said:

"Colson just goes from zero to awesome rage and awesome super angry. I think the whole experience for me was just like, what the actual f--- is happening? He had this like, baby’s arm of a joint dangling out of his mouth and he was fully unhinged and I was just like, 'OK man, I'm just gonna receive you.'"

Machine Gun Kelly, who was visiting Megan on set, was present in her trailer when Tyson Ritter made the suggestion. He said:

"We’'re on set and I go over to Megan’s trailer because in the film, there was this scene that she basically teases me, putting my fingers in her mouth. So I walked over to her and wanted to discuss this moment where a monster rips out her f---ing heart. That's her death scene."

He further added, that MGK, whom he nicknamed "Pistol Pete," was not happy at the suggestion, but added that witnessing MGK's anger helped him channel the rage needed for his character in "Prisoner's Daughter." He said:

"He was super bummed about me asking if I could put my fingers in Megan Fox's mouth… He just went ballistic. I was like, 'I remember when Pistol Pete just started going ape on me, I was like, this is really confrontational, but also like, thank you dude. He might've been having a bad day, but I'll never forget, a lot of my role, in that one moment especially, it's not only my dad being his drunkest, wildest self, it was a little bit of Pistol Pete in my role for Prisoner’s Daughter.”

In his interview with GQ, Tyson Ritter revealed that he wanted to give his fans "full-frontal rock n’ roll access” with the creation of his account on the popular adult content website.
