Aimee Lou Wood shared kind remarks about her The White Lotus co-star, Walton Goggins, at the recent Met Gala event, held on May 5, 2025, in New York City. Few weeks ago, there was a widespread speculation that there was bad blood between the stars who played Rick and Chelsea on the show.

Amid speculation of behind-the-scenes tension, Aimee Lou Wood had nothing but praise for the Fallout star Goggins when asked about the possibility of making a surprise appearance during his upcoming Saturday Night Live hosting debut. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she replied,

“But also I’m not, I’m not doing that.”

While Wood won’t be joining Goggins on the SNL stage, she spoke warmly about their time working together.

“Yeah, it would be fun, I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever.” she shared.
“He’s going to be incredible doing SNL, it’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.” she added.

At the event, the BAFTA-winning actress opted for a striking black-and-white outfit, tailored in collaboration with designer Priya Ahluwalia.

What made the outing more intriguing is its proximity to a tense moment just days earlier, when Walton halted an interview with The Times over inquiries into Aimee Lou Wood.

Fans observed that Walton and Aimee had stopped following each other on Instagram, even though they followed the rest of The White Lotus cast. A reddit user posted that Walton used to upload a lot of content related to the show and used to tag everyone except Aimee Lou Wood, and that felt weird as they used to 'idolize' each other.

A Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch parodying The White Lotus Season 3 had sparked online discussion, particularly due to its portrayal of Chelsea, played by Aimee Lou Wood. In the segment, cast member Sarah Sherman used exaggerated front teeth as a prop—a choice that didn’t sit well with Wood, who described the impersonation as “mean” and “unfunny.”

Meanwhile, Walton praised the sketch in a comment on “SNL’s” Instagram, writing: “Hahahahahhahaha amazzzingggg.” The comment was later removed. Although Walton hadn't addressed Wood’s criticism, the moment added fuel to ongoing speculation about tension between the two stars.

Aimee Lou Wood was grateful to attend Met Gala with Patrick Schwarzenegger

Aimee Lou was also asked about how she felt attending the Met Gala event with her co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger. She told E! News that she felt spaced out at the event.

“I’m struggling to find my words. My mouth is really dry. But Patrick—thank god. He was like, ‘I’m going. Should we go together in the car?’ And I said, ‘Yes, please.’ So, we came in the car together and that had made everything a lot less scary,” the actress shared.
“I always say I think he was my dad in a past life, I just immediately feel so safe with him. He’s the safest, kindest person and he’s so solid. You just can’t feel nervous or scared when Patrick’s around. He’s just the most pure person, I can’t describe it,” added Aimee Lou Wood.
