“It changed everything” - Allison Holker reveals how she makes her money as an influencer following professional dancer career

While professional dancer, television host, actress and internet personality Allison Holker might have gained recognition due to her impressive dancing skills, most of her income is generated via the social media.

As per a recent article by US Weekly, Allison Holker gave insights about earning most of her income from social media in an episode of the Between Us podcast on Sunday, May 4. Holker said that bulk of her money is earned through her working as an influencer and now she has also started entering brand deals.

"It just started this way of looking, like, ‘Wait, if we’re going to do this for fun, let’s make a business out of it. Now, we sort of transitioned to where we get brand deals. I never intended on that happening. I feel like for dancers specifically, but also all content creators or influencers, we all started being seen and brands were like, ‘We want in on it.’”

She further mentioned that social media altered her entire course of life and she has been extremely fortunate as she now gets to team up with he favorite brands.

“It changed everything. For me, I would say that it became the majority of where I make my money and my growth with my family, which I’m so grateful for. I get to do what I love and get so many eyes, and then team up with brands that I love. I never really understood that’s where I was going to fall into, and I’ve been so fortunate and lucky to have that happen.”

Currently, Holker has over 3.6 million followers on Instagram. She posts about her general life and pitcures of her three children.

Born on February 6,1988 in Orem, Utah to American parents, Allison Holker is a dancer, podcast host, actress and social media personality who has made her mark in the industry through her smooth dancing skills and vibrant personality.

Holker's big break in the industry was catching eyeballs in the second season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2006. Though she was not declared the winner of the season, her perfect dance moves and charming persona was able to catch the attention of audiences as well as judges. This attention helped establish her as a reality tv star and dancer.

Allison Holker was passionate about dancing from childhood. She began her formal dance training at the tender age of 11 and perfected dancing styles such as hip-hoz, jazz and contemporary.

After her success in So You Think You Can Dance, Holker went ahead and appeared in other dance reality shows such as Ellen's Game of Games, Make Your Move and Dancing With the Stars.

Allison Holker met her late husband Stephen 'tWitch' Boss on the sets of So You Think You Can Dance. The two tied the knot in 2013. Boss died by suicide in 2022. Holker and Boss often posted videos and photographs of their family on their social media accounts. They also share two children named Maddox and Zaia. Boss also helped Holker raise Weslie, her daughter from her past relationship.

Weslie has also started showing intrest in social media and hopes to follow in her mother's footsteps. She co-hosts the Between Us podcast with her mother Holker.
