"It’s a beautiful journey" - JoJo Siwa opens up on 'never intending' to develop feelings for Chris Hughes  

During a June 5 episode of Gyles Brandreth's Rosebud podcast, JoJo Siwa opened up about her new relationship with Chris Hughes. Siwa and Chris Hughes appeared on Season 24 of Big Brother UK. They developed closeness, with fans alleging relationship rumors.

However, despite repeatedly mentioning that the two are only friends, both have taken to social media to post relationship-worthy pictures. Siwa, on the podcast, revealed that she never meant to fall for Hughes,

"It's a beautiful journey. Serendipity is Christopher and I's favorite word now. If you read the definition of it, it's essentially finding love when you're least looking for it."

She then added,

"I don't know how the universe did align for Chris to come in my life."

When asked what's special about the Love Island alum, Siwa replied,

"What's not? Initially, the first thing I took in about him was that he was a good hugger, I liked his hug, that felt like a nice embrace, and he smelled good. I was like, 'Okay, cool!"

She then highlighted that they "just bonded right away," and it started "as friends."

"I wasn't looking to fall for me, he wasn't looking to fall for me, we're having so much fun together, we're having a laugh together. Whenever one of us was down, it was the other one who helped."

JoJo Siwa says that she "never intended" to feel something for Chris Hughes

After denying relationship rumors for months, JoJo Siwa, while speaking to The Guardian in an article published on June 2, revealed that she and Hughes are "not platonic anymore" and share a "beautiful connection."

During her appearance on the Rosebud podcast, JoJo Siwa opened up about the journey of her relationship going from platonic to romantic with Chris Hughes.

Siwa revealed that once she exited the Big Brother UK house, she "started to feel something" for Hughes that she "never intended to" but also "couldn't not feel."

"And I am a very lucky girl because he was feeling the same thing."

The two share an age gap of over 10 years, with Siwa being 21 and Chris being 32. After exiting the show, the two appeared on This Morning in late April when Siwa said,

"Look, he's a great guy. It is platonic, we have a lot of fun together."

JoJo was reportedly dating Kath Ebbs when she was on the show. However, Ebbs later claimed that Siwa broke up with them at a Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party, leaving them quite heartbroken.
