Jason Statham had teamed up with Sylvester Stallone for Expend4bles or Expendables 4, which Lionsgate released on September 22, 2023.
The action film, directed by Scott Waugh, was the fourth installment in the franchise. The synopsis for Expend4ables reads as follows:
"Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give 'new blood' a whole new meaning."
Upon its release, the film was a critical and commercial failure. However, it has now found new life on streaming.

Starring Jason Statham, Expend4bles was first released in China on September 15, 2023. It was subsequently released in the United States on September 22. The film received negative reviews upon release. At the time of writing this article, it holds a 14% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Made on a budget of $100 million, the film could only gross $51.1 million and became a box-office disaster. It was the least financially profitable film of the franchise. The film also received seven nominations for Golden Raspberry Award nominations, winning Worst Supporting Actress and Worst Supporting Actor for the cast.
However, the film has continued to enjoy strong viewership on streaming. Collider has noted that people have been watching this actioner in the comfort of their homes on Starz.
The film also marked the end of the franchise, as was confirmed by Statham and Sylvester Stallone. The film's story was written by Kurt Wimmer, Spenser Cohen, and Tad Daggerhart. Wimmer and Daggerhart also penned the screenplay with Max Adams. Its cast members include,
