Jensen Ackles, in an exclusive interview with People magazine, shared his eldest daughter's excitement about seeing him on screen as he plays the role of investigator Mark Meachum in his upcoming Amazon TV series, Countdown. He explained that because his children are still young, they haven’t been able to watch most of his past work—until now. He said:

"I do think my oldest is old enough to watch this, so she's fired up to see it."

According to People magazine, Jensen Ackles and his wife, Danneel Harris, are the proud parents of three young children: daughter Justice Jay and fraternal twins, Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes. The couple met in 2006 while filming Ten Inch Hero, got engaged in 2009, and tied the knot in 2010.

Ackles also opened up about how excited his daughter is to finally see him on screen

Jensen Ackles, in his interview with People magazine, discussed how, until now, his children had not seen him on screen, but his eldest daughter is now old enough to watch him in his new series. He said:

"There's not a lot that they can watch yet. She [Justice] hasn't really gotten to see her dad in action. And in this one, I'll be in action.”

Ackles joked that even though his kids haven’t seen much of his work, they still seem to know all about it. He said:

"But they know. Trust me. They know."

Previously, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ackles talked about his upcoming role as an LAPD detective. He mentioned that there would be some similarity to his iconic character Dean Winchester from the popular series Supernatural. He said:

"There's probably going to be some familiarity from that fandom with this guy. It's not like I'm going so opposite spectrum with this character. He's going to be a familiar taste, which is good. I like doing that."

He further added:

"I mean, I played Dean for 15 years. I loved playing that kind of a character. And I think this guy is in the vein of that, just with a completely different set of circumstances."

Jensen Ackles’ new Amazon drama Countdown is set to premiere on June 25 and also stars Eric Dane, Jessica Camacho, and Elliot Knight.
