The Mark is an upcoming film in the action thriller genre. It's directed by English filmmaker Justin Chadwick, while the script is by Ronnie Christensen. Here's the official synopsis as per IMDb:

"A spy mistakenly identifies single dad Ben as a deadly assassin, using the confusion to expose corrupt politicians. Now targeted by agencies and criminals, he must survive while she completes her mission."

Deadline has reported that several actors have joined the cast of the upcoming thriller film The Mark. This includes names like Elsa Pataky, Mark Coles Smith, Rena Owen, and Jessica McNamee. The makers have yet to unveil the characters they will be playing. Earlier, it was announced that Tom Hopper, Jessica Alba, and Angus Sampson have been cast in pivotal roles.

The Mark's shooting is currently taking place in Australia's Queensland. Alba is also producing it along with Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Henry Winterstern, Jam, Kosaku Yada, Tracey Vieira, and Peter Jákl. The executive producers include Miguel Melendez, Will Smith, Abraham Kesablyan, Tracey Robertson, Jason Hope, Tracey Nyberg, Latavius Powell, Nathan Mayfield, Ceasar Richbow, Abraham Kesablyan, and Gevork Semeriyan.

The film's production banners include Lady Metalmark Entertainment, Highland Film Group, K. Jam Media, Westbrook Studios, Hoodlum, and Falcon Films.

The Australian Government has also lent its support for the film via Location Offset, Production Attraction Strategy (Queensland authority arm for art and culture), and the local government through a program called City of Gold Coast’s Screen Attraction Program. The global rights of the film are being taken care of by Highlands Group, who are also the co-financiers with Aperture Media Partners.

The Mark is about a spy named Eden (played by Elba) who is on a mission. At one point, she mistakes a single dad, Ben Dawson (Hopper), for a dangerous assassin. He's pulled into that world and must fight to survive as Eden is after his life. She is trying to uncover the corrupt nexus of politicians during this mission. Meanwhile, the CIA is being headed by Len Milton (Sampson). Eden will have to ensure that Ben remains alive so that he can reunite with his daughter.
