Jingle Bell Heist focuses on a lady named Sophia Martin who moves to London from the United States. She does this to take care of her ailing mother, who is suffering from cancer. She's working two jobs to sustain her life and her mother's healthcare. Soon, Sophia realizes the insurance won't cover her surgery.

In a desperate move, she decides to rob her boss but ends up meeting an ex-security consultant named Nick. He wants to team up with Sophia to get some money for his daughter. Nick is going through a divorce. But the two eventually fall in love with each other.

Brooke Henzell, who plays Samantha, spoke to Medium about her character in the film. She said,

“I appreciated getting to play a competent, intelligent, academically-minded woman. I think I’m just at the age where people start to let me do that sometimes… It was nice to feel like a grown-up, play a grown-up. People were out shopping in the city and getting ready for the festivities, and I got to shoot and then go see my family, which was lovely.”

The film takes place in London, where it was also shot.
