Zach Bryan has been at the heart of several feuds in recent months, involving both Kansas City NFL fans and other musicians like John Moreland and Gavin Adcock. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter, who made hits like "Something in the Orange" and "Pink Skies," recently heightened tensions by confronting Adcock by physically jumping over a barbed-wire fence during a music event.

The John Moreland Fallout

The story started in May 2025 when Tulsa artist John Moreland criticized Zach Bryan's rumored $350 million publishing agreement. In a series of Instagram posts, Moreland attacked his character, calling Bryan a "d*ckhead" and narrating awkward situations. One of these includes Moreland hearing Bryan crack “borderline racist jokes more than once.”

Another incident was when Bryan looked at him like he was supposed to have his f*cking back," as he was denied bringing in a 19-year-old girl into the bar. He accused him of being an "off-brand version of myself." He wrote in a deleted post:

“$350M is a lot of money to pay for the fu-in off-brand version of me. Y’all have a great day.”

Bryan, who was hurt by the accusations, removed their collaboration from Memphis; The Blues from all streaming platforms and vowed to rerelease it without Moreland's vocals. He wrote after a few days as he shared a screenshot of Moreland's now-deleted post:

“Yooo just saw this from an artist I’ve always respected and supported. Not trying to be dramatic but refuse to have anyone with a problem with me on my records. Replacing ‘Memphis the Blues.’ If it goes down for a bit just know this is the reason! No hard feelings! Confused as shit, Tulsans look out for Tulsans.”

Moreland then released a video of him responding to Bryan and his fans:

“Oh, guys, the Zachies are coming after me. They’re gonna ruin me. They’re gonna cancel my small-time folk-music career that I’ve had since they were in elementary school.”

He went on to state that he was asked to sing on the track and he did not really know Bryan very well and only knew him as “a really big artist from where I’m from.” He added that he didn't really have the best first impression of Zach Bryan.

Moreland went on to say:

"I don’t like this motherf*cker.”

He added:

“Am I supposed to be upset? If I was asked to be on the album today, I wouldn’t do it. I don’t want to be on an album with a dude who is a dickhead to my wife and my friends right in front of me every time I see him. I don’t want to be on an album with a dude who I’ve heard tell borderline racist jokes more than once. I don’t want to be on an album with a dude who brings a 19-year-old girl in the bar, and then when they tell him she can’t be in there, looks at me like I’m supposed to have his f*cking back. I don’t like that person.”

He concluded:

“That’s who thinks I’m an a**hole? Fine. As far as I’m concerned, getting kicked off a Zach Bryan album is way f*cking cooler than being on a Zach Bryan album.”

What could have been a collaboration between two artists from Oklahoma turned into this year's well-known country feuds.

Gavin Adcock and the Teen Fan Controversy

After a 14-year-old fan posted videos accusing Zach Bryan of ignoring fans outside a concert in New Jersey in July 2025, Bryan became the target of criticism. Outrage was triggered by Bryan's defensive remark, which included the NFSW acronym "GOMD" ("Get Off My D***"). Zach Bryan wrote:

“You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello. I went out and took pictures both night one and night three. I had a third show the next day, and it was late, I needed rest…. GOMD.”

Rising country star Gavin Adcock, who is renowned for his direct criticism, entered the argument. On X, he criticized Bryan for not being able to take criticism from a child. He tweeted:

"If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old, why do people idolize you? That kid was head over heels to meet you and spent/ parents spent a ton of money to see you. He’s got feelings too, and you’re a ‘grown man’ nearly 30. They’re the only reason you are around.”

It escalated on 13 September 2025, at the Born & Raised Music Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma. Fans captured videos of Bryan jumping over a barbed-wire fence during the concert to confront Adcock, who was performing. Before anything serious could happen, Zach was restrained by the security who intervened quickly.

Zach Bryan wasn't scheduled to perform at the event, but he showed up as a surprise guest performing with Gabriella Rose. His attempt to confront the Run Your Mouth singer by jumping over a barbed wire fence showed how bad the feud had gotten.

Zach Bryan's clash with the Kansas City Chiefs Fans

Zachary Lane Bryan also alienated Kansas City Chiefs fans back in August. A life-long Philadelphia Eagles fan, he made fun of the Chiefs' failure to achieve a three-peat Super Bowl following their defeat against the Eagles in February 2025.

He had tweeted:

"Where are all the three peat people from last year:/."

The Kansas City Chiefs, who had lost in 2021 to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, made a turnaround and won the next two NFL Super Bowls consecutively, and were planning to make history by completing a three-peat and becoming the first team to do so.

Tom Brady, who was the closest to winning the three-peat along with the New England Patriots, said he'd be happy if Mahomes was able to do it. Sadly, the Philadelphia Eagles hammered them and won the Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.

Following this, a Chiefs fan questioned:

“Talking sh*t in general is all good. He’s singled out one fanbase. That same fanbase that sells out his shows.”

While another had asked Bryan to remove Fifth of May (Live from Kansas City) from his digital-only 24 live album. A third called him as “just another abusive Eagles fan”.

Zach Bryan, who was clearly hurt by the replies, responded with:

"Please understand I will never play in Kansas City."

Zach Bryan's feuds with John Moreland, Gavin Adcock, and Kansas City Chiefs fans have kept him in the headlines throughout 2025.
