Jurassic World Rebirth is proving there’s still plenty of bite left in the franchise. The dino-sized blockbuster has officially stomped past a jaw-dropping $750 million at the global box office, locking in its spot as one of the biggest cinematic wins of the year. With standout performances from Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, plus a tighter production budget than previous entries, the film has blown past expectations, both critically and commercially. And it’s done all this in just a month.

Thanks to its modest budget of around $180 million, Jurassic World Rebirth is on track to wrap up somewhere between $750 million and $800 million in total earnings, making it the fifth-highest-grossing entry in the entire Jurassic franchise. Not bad for a post-Dominion comeback.

Its opening weekend was nothing short of massive. Jurassic World Rebirth took the crown as 2025’s biggest global box office debut so far, pulling in around $323 million in its first five days, including $92 million in domestic sales and another $174 million overseas.

As of early August, the film has pushed past $760 million globally, according to streaming and box office trackers, and it’s still going strong.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is the cinematic equivalent of a dino-sized defibrillator, zapping life back into a franchise many thought was extinct. Directed by Gareth Edwards and penned by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, the 2025 installment trades nostalgia for nerve, throwing audiences into a scorched Earth where dinosaurs cling to life in the only habitable zones left: the equator.

Scarlett Johansson leads the chaos as Zora Bennett, a covert ops expert on an almost impossible mission. She's roped in by a pharmaceutical company with one goal: harvest DNA from three prehistoric giants - a Mosasaurus, a Titanosaurus, and a winged nightmare called Quetzalcoatlus - to create a heart disease cure. But this isn’t just a science run; it’s a full-blown survival gauntlet, complete with mutant raptors, corporate sabotage, and one absolute freak of nature called the Distortus rex that has got six limbs and eats helicopters.

Joining Johansson are Mahershala Ali as team leader Duncan Kincaid, Jonathan Bailey as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, and a stellar supporting cast that includes Rupert Friend as a corporate puppet with zero morals and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as a dad just trying to keep his family alive. Additional cast includes Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Ed Skrein, Bechir Sylvain, and Philippine Velge.

Filmed across Thailand, Malta, and the UK, the movie blends awe and terror with that classic Jurassic flavor. After premiering in London, Rebirth stomped into theaters worldwide on July 2, pulling in a dino-sized $766 million and securing its place as one of 2025’s biggest box office triumphs.

Jurassic World Rebirth is now in theaters.
