Justin Baldoni, who has been in a months long court battle with Blake Lively, has now been hit with new allgegations by a person who had previously worked with him on a project. According to People Magazine, the individual whose name has not yet been revealed, has accused the "Jane the Virgin" actor of verbal abuse and will also testify as a witness against him in the ongoing Lively vs. Wayfarer Studios lawsuit.
The origins of this case date back to December 2024, when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harrasment. The pair had previously starred together in the 2024 movie "It Ends With Us," which Baldoni had also directed. The "Gossip Girl" actress also claimed in her lawsuit that Baldoni had launched a smear campaign against her, allgegations that Justin Baldoni has continued to deny. Later, he himself filed a $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, for defamation and civil extortion, among several other claims.
The lawsuit filed by Justin Baldoni against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds was dismissed back in June by judge Lewis J. Liman.
More about the new allgegations against Justin Baldoni, as actor faces further legal trouble
In the latest update regarding the ongoing case, which comes just three months after his own lawsuit was dismissed, Baldoni and some of his associates have been accused by this unnamed individual of repeated misconduct. The statement, obtained by People Magazine, read:
"[The person] had repeated, negative interactions with Mr. Baldoni and his associates, including verbal abuse by Mr. Baldoni."
According to People Magazine, this unnamed person had previously worked with Justin Baldoni on a project unrelated to the 2024 movie "It Ends With Us," where they allegedly experienced "verbal abuse." Beyond these accusations, Baldoni has also been accused by his "It Ends With Us" co star Isabela Ferrer of harrasing her in an attempt to serve her with a subpeona.
Moreover, in the latest filing issued in September 8, Blake Lively's legal team stated that she "will seek a multi-million-dollar award" from Baldoni, asserting that she is "entitled" to have her legal fees covered for the countersuit. A part of the statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly reads:
"[Blake Lively is] entitled to compensation for all harm caused to her [for the] vicious character attacks on Ms. Lively designed to damage her credibility. The Wayfarer Parties—with and through their lead attorney, Mr. Freedman—brought and maintained claims that were not based on factual or legal merit" adding that it was "instead a deliberate plan to discredit Ms. Lively and to harm her and her husband by suing them"
At the moment, Justin Baldoni or his legal team have not released a statement regarding these new allgegations against him. The lawsuit is set to go on trial next year, on March 9, 2026.
