Actress Kang Seo-ha of South Korea died on July 14 in the morning. She was 31 year old. Her agency and local media reported that she succumbed to death after a very long struggle with cancer.
She is being interred at Room 8 of the funeral hall at the Seoul St. Mary Hospital-Banpo dong. Her funeral will be held on July 16 at 7.40 am. Her body will be cremated and the ashes will be buried at her ancestral grave located in her hometown in Haman province of South Gyeongsang.
Even when she was not well, Kang did not stop working. She just completed shooting her recent film, In the Net, in which she acted as the main protagonist. According to her friends and co-workers, she remained composed and nice during her last days.
Kang Seo-ha early career and breakthrough
Kang Seo-ha graduated from the Korea National University of Arts – School of Drama. She started her career in the entertainment industry in 2012. Her first appearance was in a music video for Brave Guys’ song Growing Distant.
She made her acting debut in the JTBC drama Seonam Girls High School Investigators. This role marked her shift from music videos to television. It opened the door for more acting jobs.
Over the next few years, she played roles in dramas across several major South Korean networks. She was seen in KBS’s Assembly and First Love, Again. She also appeared in MBC’s The Flower in Prison and SBS’s Heart Surgeons.

Later work and final project
Kang Seo-ha continued to build her career with steady roles in different shows. Her work included appearances in Waves, Waves and Nobody Knows. These roles helped her maintain a stable career in the industry.
In 2023, Kang signed an exclusive contract with Insight MCN. The company was formed by Insight Entertainment and Showtime Crew. This new management deal was seen as a fresh chapter in her career.
Even while dealing with cancer, Kang completed her role in the upcoming film In the Net. The movie has not yet been released. It will now be remembered as her last project.
