Keith Powers and Ryan Destiny: A glimpse into their romance
Keith Powers and Ryan Destiny began dating in 2017, but called it quits in 2022. Tthe breakup was a mutual decision while insiders revealed that the two wanted to focus on their careers. A source told People at the time:
"They're taking time to focus on themselves and their emerging careers but are remaining close friends."
However, in late 2024, whispers of their reunion ignited when they were seen together in private events. They also reportedly low-key featured each other on their respective social media accounts amid the rumors of their reconciliation.
Initially, the couple neither confirmed nor denied the rekindling of their romance until February, when the A Girl Like Grace star spoke to People:
“I just love him so much and I just appreciate him every step of the way. He’s such a cheerleader for me, as I am for him. It just means everything. We’re just best friends — you know, we’re more than best friends.”
Keith Powers also opened up about his relationship with Destiny in May, citing how his girlfriend "teaches me so much."
“I think partnership really works when you really do look at your partner [the way you would look at] siblings, in a way. We could fight. We might not talk to each other for a minute. But we love each other. We come back. You know what I'm saying?”
The Famous in Love actor added:
“And I feel like for me and Ryan, it's like this is family. It's not a thing where [it’s like], ‘Oh, I didn't like [that] she did a certain thing and now I don't want to be in a relationship."
Keith Powers continued:
“It's just like we're so locked in and we just get each other's jokes and it's just easy. We just flow honestly. And she teaches me a lot. I don't know if I teach her stuff, but she teaches me so much. She's made me a better artist, so it's been great.”
