Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian had wildly different childhoods when it came to growing up with stepdad Caitlyn Jenner.

The Poosh founder sat down for her sister's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, this May 21, where she reflected on her role as a stepmother to her husband, Travis Barker's three children. From there, she segued into her own experiences with her stepdad.

It began with the Khloud Popcorn founder appreciating the former Olympian for never trying to "replace" their dad, Robert Kardashian Sr., but Kourtney disagreed.

"[Caitlyn] never tried to be Dad and I always appreciated and respected that,” Khloe began.

Kourtney responded:

“Okay, so, that wasn’t my experience, but maybe that’s why it became your experience, so [I'm] grateful for that for you." She added, Caitlyn “tried to be controlling and bossy" during her childhood and used to "tell her certain friends can’t come over." In one instance, she recalled, “I would be like, 'I wanna call my Dad,' and [Caitlyn] would hang up the phone. We would have yelling wars."

Caitlyn Jenner was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2013. The pair welcomed two children during that time, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Growing up, Kourtney eventually chose to move in with her dad, a move that surprised Khloé.

"That was not my experience at all, that's crazy," Khloé quipped. "See, you can live in the same house being raised by the same parents and not even know, and have totally different experience." She went on, "I just thought you didn't like him because he was replacing dad -- not that he did, no one could replace dad -- but that's just why I thought you didn't like him."

Kourtney Kardashian posited that her younger sister may have had a better relationship with their stepdad simply because she was younger, to which Khloé chimed in:

"I had such a different experience. But maybe mom had a talk with him. Maybe your retraction taught him something," she said. "So maybe it was a lesson for everyone."

Kourtney Kardashian serves as the stepmom to Atiana, 26, Landon, 21, and Alabama, 19. During the segment, Khloé, 40, lauded her sister for not overstepping, noting, “knowing that your role is not to be the disciplinary” is something to be appreciated.

"I'm not the role that has to make it a big deal," Kourtney Kardashian said of having to be the step mom to teenage and adult kids. "I feel like it's in the best way, I can be there to be supportive or really in any way that they want me to be, for as much or as little as they want."

She also acknowledged that it takes years for two families to fully integrate, before adding that she and Barker are nearly there. The pair will be celebrating their third wedding anniversary this month, having tied the knot in May 2022.

"It said it really, truly takes four years to feel like you're all on the same boat and truly a family and doing this together," Kourtney shared. "But I remember the times when it didn't feel that way. "Or it feels like, 'your squad versus me squad,' or 'we do things this way and you do things this way.'" She quipped, "One year left."

Kourtney Kardashian is also the biological mom of three: Mason, Penelope, and Reign, whom she shares with Scott Disick.
