Kim Kardashian's next relationship might be very different from her previous high-profile romances. According to a relationship expert, the 44-year-old reality TV star and millionaire businesswoman is entering a new era of her life, and her dating tastes may reflect that.

The SKIMS founder has spent most of her romantic life in the spotlight. She was married to Kanye West for over seven years, and they had four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Their marriage, which featured beautiful red carpet appearances and artistic collaborations, ended in 2021 following a lengthy and public divorce.

Since then, Kim's dating life has made headlines. She was linked to comedian Pete Davidson immediately after anchoring Saturday Night Live in October 2021, and their whirlwind nine-month affair made news headlines. She was also rumored to have dated NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., which solidified her habit of dating celebs.

Why Kim Kardashian may step away from Hollywood dating

Louella Anderson, a relationship expert spoke with The Mirror US on behalf of the So Syncd dating app. She said that Kim K may now be ready for something new and someone different. Alderson explained:

"Kim has been focusing on her businesses, her family and her charity work, so it’s possible she dates someone more aligned with her current lifestyle and image."

She continued:

It's more likely that this next partner will be someone outside of the traditional Hollywood spotlight. This could be a successful entrepreneur or businessman."

Alderson went on to list what qualities Kim Kardashian might search for in a man:

"Ambition, drive, and someone who looks after themselves are likely to be at the top of her priorities list. She's in a different chapter of her life now."

She added:

"It's reasonable to think she'd want someone who matches that energy and maturity."

Other than predicting Kim Kardashian's desired qualities, she also offered advice to her next partner:

"Kim’s world is still very public, though, so whoever she dates will need to be comfortable and confident with the attention that comes with it."

Hints from Kim Kardashian himself

Kim Kardashian has been cautious about her current love situation, although she has hinted at shifting priorities. On the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she revealed that her earlier commitment to be unmarried for two years was never actually realistic. Kim Kardashian said:

"I used to say, 'OK, I wanna be single for two years and blah, blah, blah.' And that sounded great."

She added:

"Me not dating and not wanting love and attention? I don’t think you know me."

In another scene, she joked:

"I had the intention of staying single....I was fully lying to you guys."

Pete Davidson's cringe moment on their past relationship

As Kim Kardashian prepares for the next step, her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson recently had an awkward flashback to their relationship during an episode of Everybody's Live with John Mulaney.

Comedian Luenell taunted Davidson on his great dating record, asking how he “continuously [pulls] all these bad bitches,” specifically referring to Kim Kardashian. Luenell asked:

"To me, you’re just an average guy. I want to know the mystique. Now, you’ve had Kim K …”

Davidson groaned as he covered his face and said:

"Oh God."

Luenell said, then referring to his current fiancée, model Elsie Hewett, before he joked that he should take her out "for the research and for women across America."

As he laughed awkwardly, Davidson said:

“If that’s what it takes to stop this, yeah.”

Kim K and Pete started dating in October 2021, after meeting on SNL. The relationship was distinguished by fun public appearances, warm interviews, and Kim characterizing herself as "happy" and "content." However, by August 2022, the pair had split, citing demanding schedules and a long-distance lifestyle.

The two have stayed friendly. They were seen reuniting at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special earlier this year, with a source adding Davidson "has nothing but love and respect for Kim" and hopes "everyone can move on."

It is to be seen if Alderson's predictions come true, if Kim Kardashian really finds a new partner who is not involved in Hollywood's glamour. Perhaps she might find someone who has the same entrepreneurial mindset as her. Whoever she ends up dating, it will not go unnoticed.
