Liam Neeson has found an unexpected new spark, and according to insiders, he wasn’t shy about making the first move.

The Taken star, 73, has reportedly been “intrigued and smitten” with Pamela Anderson, 58, ever since they began working together on The Naked Gun reboot. A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Neeson “expressed this to her” on set, letting Anderson know early on just how much he admired her.

While promoting the film, Liam Neeson confirmed that the connection was instant. In an interview with People, he recalled his first impression of Anderson, saying, “Oh, my God, she is so easy on the eyes,” and praising her openness and presence. Neeson told Anderson directly:

“I was really taken with your ‘thereness.’ You were absolutely there. There was no brushing me off, I knew we had kind of a chemistry from very early on.”

Rumors about the pair’s off-screen relationship first surfaced in fall 2024, when Liam Neeson confessed he was “madly in love” with Anderson. Since then, the speculation has only grown stronger.

During the promotional tour for The Naked Gun, their affectionate moments, including Anderson planting a kiss on Neeson’s cheek and holding his hand at the London premiere on July 22, set social media buzzing. By July 29, Us Weekly confirmed what fans had suspected: The co-stars are officially dating.

Behind the scenes, both stars have a strong support system rooting for their new romance. Pamela Anderson’s sons, Brandon Thomas Lee, 29, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 27, whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee, have been by her side at red carpet events and spoke warmly about Liam Neeson.

Brandon called their onscreen chemistry “great” in an Access Hollywood interview on July 28, staying coy but supportive about his mother’s new relationship. On Liam Neeson’s side, the late Natasha Richardson’s inner circle is embracing the new chapter for the actor, who lost his wife in 2009 after a tragic ski accident.

Radio host Andy Cohen, a longtime friend of Richardson, shared on Radio Andy that he was “stanning” the budding romance. Cohen praised Pamela Anderson’s independent spirit and domestic side, pointing out how much she reminded him of Richardson. Cohen recalled telling Neeson at a premiere party:

“She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys. This just works.”

It is not just Cohen who’s noticed the pair’s easy connection. Liam Neeson revealed that Anderson’s passion for cooking won him over on set, too. He told Stephen Colbert that she baked him sourdough loaves and bran muffins, a simple but meaningful gesture that left an impression on the famously private actor.

For her part, Anderson hasn’t held back her admiration either. In a candid interview with The New York Times, she described Neeson’s magnetic pull:

“He has so much charm and so much charisma that you kind of just fall into it. I can’t explain it because I’ve never experienced it before.”

With The Naked Gun already out, fans are just as invested in the off-screen love story as they are in the comedy reboot itself. With supportive families, fond memories of a beloved late wife, and a spark that grew from work into romance, Neeson and Anderson’s unexpected pairing proves that sometimes love really does find its way back, even under the brightest Hollywood lights.
