Days after they announced they were expanding their family, LiAngelo Ball and Rashida Nicole have parted ways.

TMZ has reported that the Tweaker rapper filed for divorce from his influencer wife at a courthouse in Southern California on July 3. As of this writing, it remains unclear when they tied the knot, with some outlets even referring to them as partners. However, per TMZ, the pair was spotted exiting a courthouse clad in all-white, clutching a white envelope.

Just last week, Rashida Nicole took to her Instagram to share the news that they had a baby on the way:

“Wish I had all the right words to describe this journey, but I guess if I had to define it, all I can truly say is: I’m grateful, terrified, anxious, nauseous,HANGRY all of thee above,” she shared, alongside photos of her cradling her baby bump in a white dress.

She added,

“As a teen mom, I was always hesitant about going thru pregnancy and parenthood again. (Iykyk) I want to thank my daughter for being here for me during this process, always demonstrating unconditional LOVE & reassuring me that, ‘Everything is alright!’ And for now…I choose to protect my peace and this beautiful energy.”

Clutchpoints has reported that this will be Nicole's second child, as she has one daughter from a previous relationship. As for LiAngelo Ball, he is now expecting his third child. He shares LaVelo Anthony Ball, 2, and LaNiyah Nicole Ball, 7 months, with his former girlfriend, Nikki Mudarris.

Nicole, 33, is a model, actress, and influencer. She has over 236,000 followers on Instagram alone. As for LiAngelo Ball, 26, he is the brother of Lonzo and LaMelo Ball, both of whom are NBA players. A sportsman himself, he recently played basketball for the Astros de Jalisco in Mexico.

Shortly after news of their new arrival broke out, LiAngelo Ball's former partner, Midarris, took to Instagram to lament the news in a now-deleted post. The pair broke up in February after rumors broke out that he had gotten another woman pregnant. However, this remains to be confirmed.

"I see everyone has been sending me @gelo cheating on me," she wrote at the time. "I want to clear this up and speak my truth. I am just as surprised as you are." "We spent 3 1/2 years together and last week he decided to walk out on his kids and I and tell me he got someone else pregnant (allegedly) and now is creating a new life with her," Nikki continued. "We were just happy and planning family photos- I am beyond blind-sighted by this whole thing. The ultimate betrayal is not even the word."

However, LiAngelo Ball immediately shot back as he refuted these claims, per Hot New Hip Hop:

“I’ll never leave or ‘abandon’ any of my kids, so we can dead that right now… I love all my children,” he asserted.

Mudarris later accused LiAngelo Ball of ignoring his children for over a month, though he also denied these claims:

"I don’t have to call her to talk to my babies, who can only say ‘dada,’" he said. "They’ll be at the mansion soon—I’ll see them the right way, don’t trip haha."

Nonetheless, Ball seems to be focusing on his music career now, as his debut album, League of My Own, is set to come out on July 18 under Def Jam Recordings. In the past, he has dropped several singles and has performed at major events like the NBA All-Star Weekend.
