Lord of the Rings’ Elijah Wood stuns couple after appearing at their Hobbiton wedding in New Zealand

Elijah Wood recently surprised two fans on their wedding day by showing up at the venue where they were they getting married. According to Entertainment Weekly, the wedding took palce at none other than the popular location in New Zealand where "The Lord of the Rings" was filmed.

Elijah Wood recieved widespread fame with his role as Frodo Baggins in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy by Peter Jackson. A few months back, in April, Elijah Wood explained in an interview with Business Insider that despite the immense box office success of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy the cast was not paid high salaries. He said:

"Because we weren't making one movie and then renegotiating a contract for the next, it wasn't the sort of lucrative scenario that you could sort of rest easy for the rest of your life."

In the video posted first on TikTok, earlier this week, on Monday, October 27, Elijah Wood can be seen arrriving at the wedding venue with a number of cameras, oblivious to the bride and groom, or even their guests. According to Parade, the "Happy Feet" actor can be seen in the viral video walking up to the couple at their wedding venue in Hobbiton, Matamata, New Zealand, to celebrate the special moment with the soon-to-be-wed couple, who are die-hard fans of the franchise.

The moment the couple spots the star, both of them can be heard gasping, "Oh my God," in excitement. Everyone at the themed wedding were dressed as characters from the movies, something Wood himself noticed as he joined the couple at the alter. He said:

"This is amazing, and everyone is dressed as hobbits!"

Elijah Wood later posed for pictures with the newly married couple as the other guests cheered on. The groom, who was visibly thrilled by the sudden surprise, can be heard saying "Thank you so much for coming."

The beautiful twelve-acre Hobbiton movie set has long been a popular destination for fans to visit, with many booking the location for special occasions such as their wedding.

This sweet gesture by Elijah Wood has touched fans, all over the world, with many now not only congraluting the newlyweds, but also appreciating the thoughtful moment created by the actor.
