Theo Von is blaming Logan and Jake Paul for his chair breaking down, causing him to fall at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration.
During the ceremony, as seen in footage circulating online, Theo Von's chair broke, causing him to fall backward. Logan and Jake Paul were sitting behind him at the time, with the former filming the incident.
The video went viral in no time, garnering more than seven million views. While users may have brushed the incident off as an accident, Theo Von took to X on January 21 to affirm that it was all the Paul brothers' doing.
The accusation has since drawn a wide range of reactions, with users chiming in with quips, jests, and pointed remarks. Here's what one user humorously suggested in a reference to President Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" sentiments:
"Make Chairs Great Again."
Check out how other users reacted to the viral video:
"I’m now a believer that every crazy story this man tells is actually true. Protect him at all cost," someone (@royal_bobby24) demanded.
"Pick new friends," another (@JayTrout1965) suggested.
"This is why you don't bring kids or invite influencers to formal events," a third (@The_x_Truth) opined.
"Can't take those Paul brothers anywhere lol," someone (@CPhilbrick22905) else echoed.
The comments didn't end there, as users had a lot to say:
"Theo vs Jake Paul next fight," one user (@nick47396029) joked.
"This is why we love you, Theo. You took it in stride. Never stop being you," another (@DorseyGhost) cheered on.
"Yeah that’s what it seemed like from the clip, like it as a bad joke. Disrespectful. Wasn’t funny at all. Sorry that happened to you bro. You handled it well though, and shall we remember not to laugh at others when they fall. Respect to you," someone (@arielphieaglex) tweeted.
Users online were visibly displeased with the Paul brothers' alleged antics, noting that it wasn't the time nor the place to pull such a stunt.
Theo Von leaves the door open for a lawsuit, says his lawyer thinks he's not okay
To clear up the confusion about the incident, here's what Theo Von tweeted on X:
“wasn’t an accident. Paul kids thought it was 😂 to mess with the chair. there’s a time and a place ya know. L," he stated.
Just the day before he doubled down on his claims in a re-tweet to Logan Paul uploading the video:
“thought we was past the pranks boys 🤷🏼."
In another response, he also told a user that he felt like he “fell thru to another world." However, he did affirm that he was “ok. My lawyer says im not tho.” In another tweet, he promised he was “all good” after the fall. When someone suggested that he press charges, Von wrote, “chair-ges.”
While he has yet to affirm if he will be pursuing a legal claim against the two brothers, he did affirm that he is not afraid of getting them in the ring and toughing it out.
“I will DDT their whole gene pool” he wrote.
Theo Von was among many prolific figures present at the ceremony, including the likes of Dana White, Elon Musk, and Conor McGregor.
