"Making movies, big adventures, having a great time" - Tom Cruise speaks about his plans for Father's Day

Tom Cruise shrugged off questions about his Father's Day Plans at the premiere of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning on May 18. Cruise has three children, two of whom he adopted with Nicole Kidman during their marriage, and one biological daughter, Suri Noelle, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

When asked by a reporter what his ideal Father's Day plan looked like, Cruise was caught off-guard and responded,

"You know...just having fun, man. Making movies, big adventures, having a great time."

This comes after Cruise had earlier denied claims of abandoning his daughter, Suri, 19. Suri was born to Katie and Cruise before their public divorce in 2012. Since then, Katie raised her daughter in New York City, while Cruise was reportedly absent from parenting duties. Suri graduated from LaGuardia High School in 2024 and is now attending Carnegie Mellon University.

Suri Cruise removed Tom Cruise' last name from her name, and adopted her mother's middle name, Suri Noelle, during her graduation. This comes after Cruise has reportedly been absent from Suri's life for the past 11 years after he finalized his divorce with her mother, Katie Holmes, in 2012.

Holmes was also given full custody of Suri. Katie decided to leave Tom Cruise, allegedly due to his strong belief in Scientology, a belief system invented by American author L. Ron Hubbard. Amid his estrangement from Suri, a source, as per an article by The Mirror published on August 17, 2024, said,

"Tom has chosen not to see Suri. It was entirely Tom's decision not to see Suri."

Tony Ortega, an expert on Tom's Scientology, while speaking to In Touch Magazine, gave context on his relationship with his daughter, saying,

"Tom has proven over and over again that his No. 1 loyalty is to (his religion) and David Miscaviage."

Ortega added that as the years passed, it became "obvious" that the actor had completely cut his daughter out of his life. While Cruise has cut ties with his biological daughter, he is reportedly still hanging out with his adoptive children, Isabella and Connor.

Tom Cruise, most recently linked with Ana De Armas, after the latter called the actor "mind-blowing" in a 2023 interview. Armas has been spotted with Cruise over the last few months and, in a May 2025 appearance on Good Morning America, revealed that the two are working on "a lot of things."
