Mama June worried about Honey Boo Boo doing 'the stupidest thing' as boyfriend faces jail time

Television personality and actress June Shannon, commonly known as Mama June, is concerned about her daughter, Alana Thompson, also known as Honey Boo Boo, who, according to her mother, may be ruininhg her own life due to her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell's, legal conflicts. Dralin, who was arrested for driving under the influence in March 2023, could be facing serious time in jail.

Mama June was seen worrying about her daughter on the latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis, in which Dralin's lawyer revealed that if his DUI case, for which he was arrested in 2023, goes to trial, he might have to serve time and could possibly be imprisoned for ten years. Carswell was involved in a three-mile car chase in Georgia's Monroe County, after which he was arrested. His girlfriend Honey Boo Boo was in the car with him at the time, but was not charged by the police.

After finding out what could happen to Dralin if his case goes to trial, Alana reflects on their dreams for the future and realizes that if his boyfriend goes to jail for a decade, things for her would change completely, as their lives would be ruined. Alana explained, saying:

"10 years is insane to me, like we had things that we wanted to do in 10 years from now, we wanted to be able to honestly buy a house, I would already be a nurse, talking about kids and weddings and stuff from 10 years from now."

19-year-old Alana continued and said:

"And it's like, now we kind of have to reroute and just think about what would our life be 10 years from now if he got sentenced to 10 years?”

During a conversation with Dralin, Alana confessed that she is extremely worried and anxious about a possible trial. Honey Boo Boo told Dralin:

"It's breaking my heart. They don't need to give you 10 years. If they give you 10 years, I'm gonna have to tell them that I'm gonna have to serve with you."

Mama June claims it would be "stupid" for her daughter, Alana, to ruin her future for Dralin

As the episode moved ahead, Mama June inquired about the meeting with Dralin's lawyer and asked Alana what her plans were for the future, in case her boyfriend had to go to jail. However, according to Mama June, it would be stupid for Alana to spoil her own future because of him. Mama June said:

“Honestly, if Dralin goes to jail and Alana ends up giving up her nursing career, it would be the most stupidest thing ever."

"I used to put men first and what they wanted and all that, and gave [up] a lot of my life, but I hope that she does not do that."
