Mean Girls' parents guide explored

Mean Girls was given a PG-13 rating by the Motion Picture Rating body. This means that anybody who is 13 years old or above will have to watch it under parental supervision. The film has received this rating for its sexual content, strong language, and partying scenes involving teenagers.

The s*x, nudity, violence, gore, alcohol, drugs, smoking, frightening and intense quotient in the film has been labelled as 'mild'. This suggests that scenes with above mentioned moments are scattered across the board. The MPA has labelled the amount of profanity in Mean Girls as Moderate, which is above mild, suggesting that it's more than average.

Besides the visuals and language, the film also explores the issues of body shaming and bullying. So it can be concluded that parents should avoid letting their younger kids watch this film.
