Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is the forthcoming supernatural horror film that is slated to be released by Universal Pictures on December 5, 2025. It is a sequel to 2023's Five Nights at Freddy's, which was based on the namesake video game series of the same name. The official synopsis of the sequel, according to Letterboxd, is:
One year since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, the stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest. With the truth about what transpired kept from her, Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, setting into motion a terrifying series of events that will reveal dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleash a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.

Megan Fox joins the cast of Five Nights at Freddy's 2
Megan Fox has joined the cast of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and will be voicing Toy Chica. The news was announced at BlumFest 2025, where the creators also revealed two more cast members. The film features a star-studded cast, including actors reprising their roles from the first film as well as newcomers. The list includes,

At the event, director Emma Tammi spoke about having Fox on board for the film. She said,
“Her kids happen to be huge Five Nights at Freddy‘s fans as well. So she has heard about this world for a long time from her kids, and she was really pumped to do the voice of Toy Chica. She did the most amazing job. She wanted to pay homage to the games, but also make it her own. And I’m so stoked for you guys to hear her. She’s amazing."
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 was written by Scott Cawthon, with Emma Tammi serving as the director. It was produced by Jason Blum and Cawthon under their respective banners of Blumhouse Productions and Scott Cawthon Productions. The first installment was released in October 2023 and received negative critical feedback. Despite that, it ended up becoming the most profitable Blumhouse film, earning $297 million.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is set to be released by Universal Pictures on December 5, 2025.
