Megan Stalter and Paul Downs stole the spotlight with their outfit choice at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards. The comedian and actor walked down the red carpet wearing the exact same bold orange look that Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner wore to the Marty Supreme premiere in Los Angeles.

While talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Downs jokingly said that their outfits were borrowed because they have been really busy filming their comedy-drama series, Hacks.

Downs said:

"We've been shooting season five of Hacks and haven't had a lot of time to shop or pull, so we just borrowed from friends."

Megan Stalter chimed in to say:

"My really close friend — I'm not going to name any names — but she let me borrow this dress. Fits like a glove," to which Paul responded, "It did fit really well. That was the nice thing, when you have friends who are the same size, it makes life easier."

What's in and out for 2026, according to Megan Stalter and Paul Downs

Downs responded first by saying:

"Fun. I'm thinking we need to have some fun in 2026."

Stalter added by saying that "gratitude" is also something we should include in the new year. She continued:

"I think, also, just living your life... Living your life on your own terms. I said that to you this morning," she looked at Paul as he confirms.

She reiterated:

"She said, 'Live your life on your own terms, and just have fun.' She said, 'Make a splash,' and I said, 'Okay.'"

"Stealing people's stuff... Commenting on people's videos, 'Oh yeah, she's ugly.' I haven't gotten that, but I'm just saying it's out if you're gonna do that to someone."

Downs joined in, saying:

"Animal cruelty is out... Yeah, unkindness is out."

Megan also mentioned that Fergie is in. While Paul thinks dabbing is out.

Megan Stalter looked at the camera and said:

"Also, I'm open to plus-size modeling."
