Big Brother contestant Mickey Lee passed away on Christmas Day due to 'multiple cardiac arrests'. The 35-year-old television personality appeared in Season 27 of the long-running reality show, which aired earlier this year.

On December 23, her family shared a GoFundMe page created on December 22, revealing that she suffered a series of cardiac arrests. The message read,

“Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition. She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging.”

Mickey's friends and family shared a heartfelt message via her Instagram account, which said,

“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on ‘Big Brother,’ where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed both on and off screen.”

Mickey's family has requested privacy in the light of the recent tragedy.

Mickey Lee's sudden death

Mickey's sudden passing has left her friends and showbiz colleagues in shock. Big Brother contestant and Mickey Lee's close friend posted a slideshow of them on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account, writing (sic),

“Rest peacefully babygirl. Life is short, tomorrow is not promised, and every moment is a gift. May the family, friends and loved ones of Mickey be covered by God’s grace. Love people, be kind, appreciate the small things, and be grateful. #bb27 #bb23”

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and later based in Atlanta, Georgia, Lee worked as an event planner and emerged as an early frontrunner and fan favorite on Big Brother 27. Although she was ultimately evicted as the final pre-jury contestant, several of her fellow houseguests had expressed their support for her in the period leading up to her passing.

At the time of publication, $31,000 of the $40,000 Mickey Lee's GoFundMe goal had been reached. The funds were intended to cover medical care not covered by insurance, specialist care, recovery support, and family members’ lodging and travel.
