"Miss this guy, as we all do" - Amy Jo Johnson remembers her co-star Jason David Frank in a touching Instagram tribute

American-Canadian actress Amy Jo Johnson, who rose to fame after starring as Kimberly Hart in the immensely popular '90s TV show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, paid tribute to her co-star Jason David Frank. While Johnson played the character of the Pink Ranger, Frank played the Green as well as the White Ranger. Earlier this month, Amy Jo Johnson took to Instagram and shared a picture of them with a caption that read:

"Thank you to whoever it was who gave me this photo at Niagara. miss this guy, as we all do."

The 54-year-old Amy Jo Johnson, who was recently seen at the Niagara Falls Comic Con, was previously married to Olivier Giner from 2009 to 2017, with whom she shares a 16-year-old daughter, Francesca. After Johnson shared the rare photo of herself with Frank to honor him, fans were quick enough to take notice of the Instagram post as they filled the comments section with their warm and heartfelt messages.

Fans would agree that Amy shared an interesting on-screen chemistry with the late Jason David Frank, who, according to Deadline, committed suicide at the age of 49 in November 2022. Frank, who appeared in several Power Rangers TV shows and movies, was married twice. His first marriage was with Shawna Frank, with whom he shared three kids: Hunter, Skye, and Jacob. Whereas, with Tammie Frank, whom he married in 2003, he shared a daughter, Jenna.

As per reports by People, after the news of Frank's untimely death broke out in November 2022, Amy Jo Johnson, who, besides featuring in the Power Rangers franchise, also starred in other popular TV shows like Flashpoint and Felicity, appeared on an Instagram Live to reach out to the fans and express her immense grief. Johnson, while she wept, said:

"I just came on here because I was feeling really sad and really it’s really hitting home today what had happened and that he’s gone. I don’t know. I just thought of all of you guys because I know how much you all meant to him and how much you guys are probably in the same amount of pain and so sad."

She continued and described Jason as:

"such a force and such a bright, bright, crazy, wild, funny light. I just can’t even believe it. My head hurts so bad."

Johnson, while she addressed people who are facing mental health issues, said:

"Anybody who is out there who is feeling depressed and like there’s no hope, just know that that’s not the way and there is help and you do have a community here. Just reach out. Reach out for help if you are feeling like that. F*ck. It f*cking sucks. Sorry for the swearing, but it really f*cking sucks. Sorry."

She further added:

"I know how much you all meant to Jason, and it sucks. But we’re all going to be okay."
