Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning to release on Paramount+

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be released on Paramount+ on December 4, 2025. It will be released digitally after nearly 7 months of its theatrical run. The film premiered in Tokyo and was subsequently screened out of competition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

It was released theatrically on May 23 by Paramount Pictures. Made on a budget of around $300 million, the film grossed $598 million at the box office. Christopher McQuarrie helmed it and co-wrote it with Erik Jendersen. Tom Cruise and McQuarrie also produced it under the banners of Skydance and TC Productions. Chris Brock, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger served as executive producers.

The film's original subtitle was Dead Reckoning Part Two, which was later changed to The Final Reckoning. Its cast members include,

  • Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
  • Hayley Atwell as Grace
  • Greg Tarzan Davis as Theo Degas
  • Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
  • Angela Bassett as Erika Sloane
  • Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn

The franchise began in 1996 with the film adaptation of the namesake television series. Its success was followed by several other installments directed by different directors. Cruise has reprised his role as Ethan Hunt in all the entries. He continued his practice of doing all his stunts in this film. Speaking to People, the film's stunt coordinator, Wade Eastwood, said:

“Everyone will think we did some on green screen on the ground. I guarantee there was not one single shot that was not on a plane flying for real.”

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will start streaming on Paramount+ from December 4.
