Will Forte, who has been on the news lately as the star of Netflix’s upcoming The Four Seasons, shared a hilarious but painful incident.

On April 10, Forte appeared on the YouTube talk show Hot Ones, hosted by Sean Evans. Hot Ones features celebrities answering questions while eating progressively spicier chicken wings. Forte was promoting his new release, Pixar’s Win or Lose, in which he lends his voice to Coach Dan, an important character in the series.

While responding to Evans candidly and comfortably as he ate spicy chicken wings without a hint of feeling the heat, Forte shared an incident surrounding spicy chicken wings from a few years ago. Forte revealed,

“So at the big slick at Kansas city, it is a charity show you know, which benefits children’s Mercy Hospital…in which you will do a version of the show (Hot Ones), one year I was a part of it, I ate this final wing and then I went to the restroom.. I had not washed my hands, and about three minutes later, my p**is was like a f*cking volcano, it was on fire”

Evans and Forte shared a long laugh while talking about the incident. Evans, referring to the incident, jokingly added,

“Not enough people know that, you know people ask about the eyes all the time, but there are lots of mistake you can make in the cross pollination crisis of hot sauce.”

Will Forte, who seemed at ease answering difficult questions while munching the spicy wings, was more concerned about remembering to wash his hands after he was done. He said,

“So I just basically have to go straight from here to the bathroom and wash my hands a couple of times”

A prank that Will Forte regrets

As the chicken wings on Hot Ones got spicier, MacGruber star Will Forte began candidly sharing more insights into his life. Toward the end of the show, when Evan asked Forte about the funniest prank that he had pulled off against his parents, Forte had a rather pensive answer.

Forte became reflexive about the whole nature of comedy and tried to delineate the boundaries when jokes and pranks stop being funny. He recalled an incident when he gave his mother a really hard time, all the while imagining that he was just pulling a funny prank and being funny. Forte began to narrate the incident and shared,

“I have an awful one, I am not even going to tell it…it is horrible, you will feel why…please feel free to cut this out”

After a bit of hesitation and regret, Forte continued,

“I saw my mom driving in the neighborhood, and I am like, ‘this will be funny,’ I wrote on a piece of paper, ‘I am so sorry mom,’ and then left that at the front door, and laid down on her bathroom floor as if I was no longer alive.”

Forte’s mother, upon reading his prank note and encountering his body on her bathroom floor, screamed in anguish. Describing her scream, Forte said,

“Hearing her scream, it was the worst, it was the worst thing”

According to Forte, it was an important lesson he learnt at a young age, that not everything is funny. The incident contributed to Will Forte’s idea of comedy, and the actor shared that he does not like comedy that hurts people.
