EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy, in a recent episode of her Life with Nat podcast, opened up about her school days and revealed that Paloma Faith, who is scheduled to appear on Celebrity Traitors, bullied her when the two attended school together.

Cassidy and Faith both attended Islington Green School, and Paloma was in the year above Natalie.

"Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me. We've spoken about it and she has said sorry about that. Gutted."

In a 2010 conversation with the Tribune, Paloma had spoken about having an amazing time at secondary school.

"I had an amazing education there. It's funny because at the time I did my exams it had one of the worst reputations in the country. But I have to say the teachers were incredible."

She also added that she was in the school's production of Little Shop of Horrors,

"I was never one of the leads. I was always one of the dancers because at that time I was really into dance."

Natalie Cassidy's recent revelation about school life on her podcast isn't the first time she has opened up about getting bullied. In 2012, Cassidy tweeted that she was bullied at school for her appearance,

"Yes I got bullied at school. I had braces and before that, wonky teeth."

More about Natalie Cassidy and Paloma Faith's school

Natalie Cassidy and Paloma Faith both went to Islington Green School, which was later renamed City of London Academy Islington. The school gained recognition after its choir got the chance to sing the iconic Pink Floyd like "we don't need no education" from the 1979 hit The Wall.

Two decades after the incident, the school was in the news again in 1995, when Tony Blair rejected the local comprehensive for his son, Euan, who instead got his education at London Oratory in Hammersmith.

Paloma had previously described Islington Green as a "very, very rough" school and added that "the police were there every day; there was a lot of violence. However, despite the school's reputation, Paloma had some nice moments and had mentioned that the school had "incredible" teachers.

"They were very encouraging to me. I was put in the Hackney Gazette because it was a failing school and I got all As at GCSE."

While Paloma went on to study for a degree in contemporary dance in Leeds and received an MA in theatre, Natalie Cassidy landed the role of Sonia Fowler while she was still in school and auditioned for the role when she was just 10.
