Netflix beats out all other studios in Oscars 2025 with a staggering 18 nominations in total

Netflix has become the most nominated studio at the Oscars 2025, with 18 nominations in total. To no one's surprise, Jacques Audiard's Emilia Pérez has earned most of them. The lively musical, which began its journey at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival has become the most-nominated film at the Oscars 2025. It recently won 4 Golden Globes out of the 10 nominations it received.

Besides the praised musical, Netflix has earned 5 more nominations at the Oscars 2025, shared between five films. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl has been nominated in the Best Animated Feature section, while Ed Lachman has been nominated for his Cinematography for Angelina Jollie's Maria.

They are joined by Anuja in the Live Action Short Film category and The Only Girl in the Orchestra in the Documentary Short Film category. Tyler Perry's The Six Triple Eight has also received an Oscar nomination for its song, The Journey.

After the independent film studio, Universal holds 13 nominations, followed by Focus Features, which earned 12 Oscar nods.
