Brad Pitt, one of Hollywood’s most enduring leading men, spoke openly and playfully about his sexuality during a recent podcast appearance.
“I’ve never had a gay experience,” he told Dax Shepard on the June 23 installment of Armchair Expert. The 61-year-old followed that up with a quip:
“I kind of missed that window, but if I did, it wouldn’t be you.” said Pitt.
Brad Pitt added that Shepard might land as his “14th or 15th” if things had gone differently. With a smile, Shepard volleyed back:
“I don’t want to brag, but you’re going to need to build up to me. I do recommend you start with some starters.”
Fans have also known Pitt for his past high-profile marriages to Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston, along with former relationships with Gwyneth Paltrow and Juliette Lewis.
Brad Pitt is now dating Ines de Ramon. The two first sparked romance rumors in late 2022, not long after her divorce from Paul Wesley. Recently, they stepped out in London for the F1 premiere, where Pitt stars in a film centered around the world of Formula 1 racing. On the carpet, Pitt wore a forest green suit while de Ramon shimmered in silver.
Brad Pitt describes the rock bottom moment that led him to alcoholics anonymous:

Brad Pitt publicly addressed his battle with alcohol addiction for the first time during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. The actor revealed that his journey to sobriety began with an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, which he attended during his highly publicized divorce from Angelina Jolie.
“I needed rebooting, I needed to wake the f**k up in some areas,” Pitt said,
He explained that he had reached an emotional low:
“I was pretty much on my back, on my knees. I was really open to… I was trying anything that anyone threw at me. It was a particularly difficult time.”
Although initially apprehensive, Pitt found comfort in the unfiltered honesty of others in the room.
“Everyone was so open, it gave me permission in a way to go, ‘OK, I’m going to step out on this edge and see what happens.’ Then I just really grew to love it.”
Pitt contrasted this openness with the emotional environment of his youth in Missouri’s Ozarks, where he said expressing pain wasn’t common and appearances of normalcy were prioritized. His alcohol use drew media scrutiny after a reported altercation with Jolie on a private jet in 2016, a moment that contributed to the dissolution of their marriage.
Brad Pitt talks SAG struggles and a silent role gone wrong:

Long before he was headlining blockbusters, Brad Pitt had a moment on the set that continues to make him wince even decades later. On the episode of Armchair Expert, the actor opened up about one of his earliest gigs, a non-speaking role as a waiter in the 1987 film No Man’s Land, written by Law & Order creator Dick Wolf.
Pitt was still an unknown name, hustling for his SAG card. But without a speaking role, it was nearly impossible.
“The whole game was, how do you get your SAG card?” he recalled.
“Because you can’t get a job if you don’t have your SAG card, but you can’t get your SAG card unless you’ve had a job. It’s this catch-22.”
So, in a scene with Charlie Sheen and DB Sweeney, Pitt decided to break the silence. After going through the required motions of pouring, spinning, and wiping, he improvised a line.
“Like a jackass, they’re doing the scene. I get to the last actor – and she seemed lower on the totem pole? Maybe? And, literally, the scene is going on, I pour her champagne and I go, ‘Would you like anything else?’ It was ‘CUT! CUT! CUT!’”
The assistant director immediately stepped in.
“You do that again, you’re out of here,” Pitt was told.
It was a rookie mistake, and one that stuck with him.
“I felt shame for the rest of the night,” he said.
