With Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse currently under work, another Spider-Man actor has expressed his interest in having a part in the film, describing himself as holding the record the record of playing the character for more times than anyone else. Christopher Daniel Barnes, who starred in the 1990s animated series Spider-Man: The Animated Series from 1994 to 1998 has revealed that he would like to join the film, which is taking shape for a 2027 release.
Posted by galaxycon on TikTok, the actor answered a question about if he would like to join the Spider-Verse, to which he replied,
"Would I like to join the Spider-Verse? Of course. Who wouldn't want to join the Spider-Verse? I've been playing Spider-Man for many, many years. I think I might hold the record of playing the most Spider-Man of anybody ever because I started Spider-Man in Spider-Man the Animated Series. And then we actually, I think, were one of the first people to create the multiverse on Spider-Man the Animated Series. And so I played a lot of different Spider-Men there and then in video games. And I feel like my soul yearns to be part of the official Spider-Verse. And it's such an awesome mythology. So, yeah, why wouldn't I want to be a part of it?"
He also worked on Ultimate Spider-Man, where he played Electro, Spyder-Knight and Wolf Spider.
