Pete Davidson recently appeared on an episode of The Breakfast Club alongside host Charlamagne tha God, where he opened up about the attention he received both during and in the aftermath of his whirlwind romance with pop sensation Ariana Grande.
From that point on, the comedian claims to have felt ‘s*xualized’ by the media and masses to the point where his actual comedic prowess on SNL and beyond was being wholly overlooked.
"I brought a lot of pop culture into the show, like I made it [a] sort of tabloidly, trendy thing unintentionally."
Davidson continued,
"Also, I was embarrassed by it because... no one talked about any work I was doing. They were just like, 'Oh, that's the f--- stick.' And that hurt so much."
Charlamagne quipped back in a way that indicated he did not have much sympathy for Pete Davidson, who could have had it way worse.
"You was banging a lot of hot chicks and you had a 10-inch p**is.”
However, Pete replied stoically,
"You know, on paper, that sounds great."
Pete Davidson opens up in The Breakfast Club interview
While the constant stories and attention made Pete Davidson feel uncomfortable, he attributed the barrage to his unconventional appearance. However, the comedian did illustrate why that type of dialogue around any young male star could be extremely problematic,
"I don’t want to victimize myself in any way because I’m cool, but the s*xualization of me — if that was a girl, people would be like, there would be a march for it... Seriously. You're just talking about my d--- all day."
Pete Davidson also confirmed the source of the 'big d--- energy' rumors, before ex-fiancé Ariana Grande’s fan interaction on X, saying:
"Uh it was I think it was like the New York Times or something when I started dating someone that I guess they considered out of my league, which I think everyone is out of my league, but you know, uh they were like, 'This guy must have big d--- energy.' And then someone confirmed it."
Pete Davidson is currently dating model, actress, and social media personality Elsie Hewitt, as reported by People Magazine. They began their relationship in March 2025 and moved in together shortly thereafter. On June 16, the pair announced that they are expecting their first child together via Instagram.
Pete Davidson has also admittedly come to an important realization about social media, amidst all of his personal growth,
“I don’t like how the internet is a place where anybody can s--- on you and make anything up. I’ve worked really hard to get my brain to this place."
