Rapper O.T. Genasis accused of spitting in a woman's face after she rejected his advances

A woman named Isabella Grais has accused rapper O.T. Genasis of misconduct. On December 14, she shared a post with the rapper's photo on Instagram. Grais shared that during an encounter, Genasis spat on her face. She wrote:

“A man named Otgenasis approached me while I was out celebrating my best friend’s 25th birthday. He began flirting with me while I was on the phone. I tried to remain polite and avoid conflict, but the interaction quickly became uncomfortable and inappropriate. He began telling me unsolicited and disturbing details about his past, including selling crack.”

Isabella explained:

“When I firmly told him to leave me alone and get away from me, he spit in my face. This was not a misunderstanding it was intentional, humiliating, and violating. I was left in tears and felt completely unsafe. Witnesses around me identified him afterward and provided me with his name.”

Isabella wrote that such kind of encounters should not be faced by anyone. She explained:

“No one should ever be treated this way. I did not go out to be harassed or assaulted. I went out to celebrate my friend. This experience ruined the night and left me feeling shaken long after. What happened to me should never happen to anyone else. @otgenasis @vendome.miami.”

Looking back on O.T. Genasis’s school days

In January 2024, O.T. Genasis sat down on the R&B Money Podcast. Looking back on his childhood days, he remembered running around Long Beach, shooting dice at school, and also selling candy. He said:

“Obviously like I'm from Long Beach so you know we have a certain type of thing over.”

He then said:

“I wanted to play football but I was bad as h*ll so I was always ineligible.”

O.T. Genasis said that he struggled in school because he had trouble understanding and remembering lessons. Even though he finished his homework, he often failed tests, which made him feel frustrated with school. He later focused on music around age 16 and ended up attending several different high schools. He added:

“I got kicked out of all the schools I was I was going to. So, I got kicked out of like every school that I went to.”

He went on to say:

“I was getting kicked out of like districts.”

O.T. Genasis said that after he was expelled from school, his life already felt rough. He had to take buses and trains every day and often faced trouble even before reaching school.

O.T. Genasis on how he liked to work

Podcast host Tank asked about his 2014 song CoCo. O.T. Genasis said he was drinking alcohol while doing the song. He mentioned:

"You know, but when I am in a studio and I am drinking and I am at home and it's the vibes. I feel like I am in a club you know and so I actually recorded cut it and push it the same night go get the money go I recorded that sh*t the same night."

However, O.T. Genasis clarified that he was not encouraging anyone to drink. He mentioned:

"When I was coming up and I was making music it was always fun for me and so then when I started getting a deal and everything and I watch everybody else I'm like damn everybody's so serious you know and I'm like it ain't fun no more so when you create that lane to where kid again that's when you start making all that your best music."

O.T. Genasis said there are times when artists worry about criticism that adds unnecessary pressure. However, it was all about having fun with his work and enjoying the process
