Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Joe Giudice has made a plea to President Donald Trump. The reality television star hopes that the president, a family man himself, can grant him a pardon and reunite him with his daughters in the process.
Joe Giudice picked social media as the forum to make his appeal, and did so via Instagram. He posted a carousel of images with him and his daughters alongside a heartfelt caption:
“I’m Joe Giudice. I served my time, and I’ve been deported from the U.S. for nearly a decade. I was raised in Jersey, I’m a father of four amazing daughters, and I just want to be allowed to visit them again. President Trump, I respect you and I’m asking for a second chance. @realdonaldtrump @donaldjtrumpjr”
Giudice has four daughters — Gia, Gabriella, Audriana, and Milania — whom he shares with his ex-wife Teresa Giudice. She showed her support for Joe in the comments section:
“🙏❤️."
Joe Giudice - crimes, current status
Joe Giudice and his ex-wife Teresa were indicted on federal fraud charges in 2013. Ultimately, the two ended up serving alternating sentences in prison. First, Teresa served an 11-month jail sentence before Joe went on to serve 41 months for his crimes. Joe was subsequently deported to his native Italy in 2019.
Since then, Joe Giudice has been residing in the Bahamas. In 2023, his daughter Gia shed some light on their interactions in an interview with PEOPLE:
"WhatsApp is our best friend. FaceTime is, too. But we honestly see him as often as we can.”
Gia continued:
"We do our best, and he's doing amazing."
While she certainly wished her father was closer to home, she embraced the silver linings:
"The Bahamas is a beautiful place. You can't really be that mad that that is our second home! ... But yeah, he's doing really good. So we're happy."
Earlier in the year, Joe Giudice also mulled the possibility of a potential pardon after Trump’s re-election. During a conversation on the Turning The Tables podcast hosted by his ex-wife Teresa, Joe offered:
"When I met Trump, I mean, he was very nice to me. I was very nice to him when we were on his show over there. I don't know. I mean, I think he should get me back."
