Favors tragically passed away in August 2024 at the age of 34, during the 16th season of RHOA's production. At the time, Porsha Williams, who had a close relationship with her cousin, took time off from filming to grieve privately. Williams spoke out during the June 22, 2025, episode, stating:

“It was just so sudden — so difficult. Londie was just the most giving person you could ever think of. [She was] a loyal person, the most creative with her company. She did so much for my grandfather’s foundation. The most honest person you can ever think of. It’s just a huge loss.”

Porsha Williams revealed that when she got the call that Favors was having problems, she was at work. She recalled:

"I was at work, and I got some news that Londie was in distress, and within an hour or two, we had lost Londie. She was just the most giving person you could ever think of."

Favors will be familiar to followers of Porsha's Family Matters and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She had helped Porsha Williams with events, such as one promoting her Pampered by Porsha bedding brand, while she was on both programs. Favors' appearance on the programs emphasized her importance as a reliable professional and personal partner for Porsha Williams, in addition to her status as a relative. In a confessional during RHOA Season 16, Episode 17, she said:

"Dealing with the loss of my cousin, Londie, I'm going through a lot emotionally, while being there for my family. She meant so much to all of us, so it's pretty difficult."

Porsha's sister, Lauren Williams, added.

"I'm just numb. We were like sisters. We grew up, we were babies together."

Public and private tributes for Porsha Williams' late cousin, Londie Favors

During the show, a number of co-stars also paid their respects to Londie Favors, where Phaedra Parks said in a confessional:

"I'm devastated because I know Londie was really the backbone of their family— very young, which is brilliant, I mean, a sweetheart. I know Porsha is devastated."

Parks, who was on a call with Porsha Williams, said:

“We’ll be praying for you because I know she was like another sister to you.”

It was also Parks who informed the other Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members of what had happened. To which Cynthia Bailey said:

"I'm in shock. Londie was so sweet, so loving. This is devastating news."

Towards the end of the show, Parks says:

“We just need to support her during this time. This group is a big group. We fall out, but at the end of the day, we are sisters. We gotta stick together and really support one another because you never know when it’s the last time.”

Finally, the title card for the episode reads, "In Loving Memory. Yolanda “Londie” Favors. 1989-2024."

Her cousin, Porsha Williams, posted on Instagram moments after her death. She wrote:

"Our whole family will forever miss you and we will never be able to fill the void and actually we don't want to."

She continued:

"I rather honor your legacy with living as you did with integrity, loving spirit, sense [of] humor, true loyalty to those you loved, empathy, and compassion for people you love and those you touch! I will honor your memory by carrying on your legacy you built during your short time with us. Love you always and promise to help your nieces remember your greatness. Love you Londie til we meet again."
