Rob Schneider has voiced his opinion on Jimmy Kimmel Live! making a comeback to ABC.

After it was announced that the network, owned by Disney, would be lifting the previously announced "indefinite suspension" over the comedy show, Schneider took to his X to issue a sarcastic remark:

"I just found out that ABC/Disney is ALSO Bringing back ROSEANNE BARR for HER tv show!! Just kidding! ABC/Disney would NEVER bring back a conservative?! Because conservatives don’t burn cities down…"

He was referring to Barr, whose sitcom was abruptly axed in 2018. The decision was announced after she took to X to claim that Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama's former aide, looked like a mix of “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes.”

She promptly deleted the tweet at the time and issued an apology, claiming that it was just a “joke” made in “bad taste.”

Rob Schneider also spoke to Fox News on The Will Cain show recently, where he addressed Jimmy Kimmel's suspension. At the time, Cain asked him about the "future of comedy and free speech," to which he said:

"I woke up this morning to the incredible shock that apparently TV shows are not guaranteed in our Constitution. I mean, wow. So that was tough to swallow, first. Second, I'm still waiting for the left, the liberals to get outraged about Roseanne getting fired for her free speech. And then I'm also waiting."

He continued,

"I mean, I have been waiting a long time for the left and the Democrats, especially the Democrats on Capitol Hill, for the Twitter Files that released that the Biden/Harris administration was actually using government -- the government to pressure Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and especially Twitter to actually censor actual Americans through the government, through government pressure."

Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended after the comedian made jokes following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. At the time, he claimed that MAGA was "desperately trying to characterize" Tyler Robinson, the alleged gunman, "as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it."

In his conversation with Cain, Rob Schneider said of Jimmy Kimmel's comments:

"honestly, I mean, look, Jimmy Kimmel can be funny. And I don't mean to take anything away from that. But the fact that matter, can you remember a political joke that went viral that was something really funny of his? There was no attempt in humor at all on what he said. And as a matter of fact, it was a lie."

He also claimed that Jimmy Kimmel "misled and lied" to his audience, which was "dangerous" to do.

Roseanne Barr has since weighed in on the debacle as she took to X to acknowledge MAGA commentators who claimed she did not get the same forgiveness that Jimmy Kimmel got:

“I wasn’t fired for lying I was fired for telling the truth about the Iran deal and slandered into oblivion,” Barr wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “This will still be worse for our side than theirs. Kimmel will get an entire PR tour to clear his name with the backing of all media.”

In her Thursday tweet, she also fired back at a user accusing her of being racist:

“It wasn’t racist. Like all things left you guys just branded it that and then worked in a cabal to make it so. Like how you guys lie about Israel and Trump and reality.”

As of this writing, Jimmy Kimmel has yet to acknowledge the discourse surrounding his suspension.
